I paid $300 for this one. You get what ya pay for is what to consider when buyin this. The particleboard is Half inch thick material so it is not the strongest of frames and it is quite heavy. I used some angle brackets on the joining surfaces of the bed to help keep it together if I ever try to move it. I had a king size that broke when I attempted to relocate it. Do yourself a favor, got to the hardware store and buy 8- 2 corner braces and at least 32 half inch long wood screws(the screws that come w/ the braces will poke through the other side of the particle board) and use them on the cross pieces inside the frame that will hold the drawer sliders and the drawers. Use one on top and on on the bottom. The top one is tight, theres not much room on the topside of the bolt they give you to put it together(youll see what I mean when you put the bed together) You also may want to put some sort of feet on it. I put self sticking sliders on mine, 4 on either side. This will help if you need to move it, and if it is on carpet it will help greatly. After I put the slats in that hold the mattress, I crosstaped the bed to make sure it was square, then I ran some inch and a quarter long wood screws through the center slat and through the outside set. This also helps keep this unit square when moving it again.
This is not a very durable piece of furniture but for the money spent Id do it again. Take the extra time to add some reinforcement and you should be OK...... Again! You do get what you pay for.
A bed frame is a serious enough piece of furniture that it has to take a long time to put together. It just does. Especially if you are carpentry-inept like I am. BUT. I got it together pretty easily, with just little ol me, several hours on a sunday, and a few beers.
Cons: Three huge, heavy boxes arrived. I couldnt figure out which box had the instructions in them, so it was difficult in my tiny apartment to plan for setup. Ended up waiting to begin until company could email me a PDF of the instructions.
Pros: Company was very nice and very prompt with emailing me PDF instructions. Instructions were clear and very helpful. Pieces were easy to use and easy to put together. All of the pieces were there!
AND, its a perfect bed frame for a small space, for those who need a slim frame with added storage.
This was just what we needed. It fit our new foster and sealy ultra firm queen size bed perfect. The color was great and so was the price. They delivered faster than expected. Good job . We love it. Just makes getting up in the morning that much harder. My husband put bed together pretty easily by himself. It took a couple of hours but was well worth it. Good product. Would recommend it highly.
Its an attractive bed but the wood quality is poor. Several pieces of wood for the drawers split during assembly. The accessories (screws, nails, cams, etc) are very poor quality. After assembly several of the drawers do not fit properly against the rail. I would recommend looking at So Shore Furniture instead. In fact, Im purchasing the night stand dresser from them.
My wife and I absolutely love this bed. The minimal lines and appearance complement our Tempurpedic mattress nicely, and the support is excellent while still allowing good airflow around and beneath the mattress.
The packages were quite heavy when they arrived, but also very sturdy. UPS had banged up some of the boxes substantially, but the contents were well protected. The main components are all mdf and particle board, but the assembly system is very strong as well as reusable, meaning I dont have to try and take this bed in one piece the next time we move. The actual mattress supports are 3/4 plywood supported by two crosspieces and secured at the ends by steel brackets. We have had no movement from bedframe or the mattress supports and they support my 6, 220 lb frame with no complaint.. The drawers are sturdy (solid wood sides and back) and surprisingly large. One drawback is that the drawers extend the length of the sides, so one drawer on each side will conflict with a nightstand if you have one. We use those drawers for seasonal storage that doesnt require frequent access.
The assembly takes some time, especially the drawers, but the overall time estimate in the instructions is fairly accurate. I was able to assemble the bed myself, but recommend an assistant if you dont have a lot of experience as some parts will need simultaneous support when they are being attached and the plywood slats can be a little tricky to get into place all together. The instructions were clear, well illustrated, and fairly easy to understand.
I read all the other reviews and decided that this was the bed I needed. This was the lowest price of all other online stores and FREE Super Saver shipping!!
To help make it go easier and faster, we bought a 18amp power drill. 18amp holds a charge longer and gives that extra power for the screws. Saves on the hands and shoulders. You do need an extra pair of hands for some of the assembly just to help align things up and hold the screws in place as the braces are aligned.
It comes with braces and good support. I have had a platform for over 15 years and this was the best one as far as support and the slats. I only had one drawer that did not align and that was only after we moved the bed into position. So we had to tweek things a bit.
The only down side I see is the drawer bottoms. They are thin pressboard and could use some cross bracing if you put in heavy items. There is room to put cross bracing, or I could even get thin plywood bottoms and cut them to size.
I am really pleased overall with the bed. The price was the lowest and free shipping!
Tons of drawer space and gives a traditional or higher bed height depending on mattress. Plan on some time and a second person to help assemble it. Some of the boxes are really heavy and awkward to handle.
I bought this bed several weeks ago and it has been nothing but a pain. The bottoms of the drawers never stay on and the drawers then dont fit correctly back under the bed. Also, the wooden slats that the mattress sit on easily slide out and make a very loud cracking noise and the mattress sinks down in. I would not recommend this product at all.

Classy, simple, easy to put together

Cheap wood parts

So glad I bought this!

Teapot
Cheap particle board construction, once its assemble no way to move it without falling apart
Easy process
I found it to be a very easy process to order such a big item. It arrived very quickly and was in perfect condition.
Nice platform bed
