I didnt want to spend 500 for a wood chest at the entry way and this piece had pretty good reviews. Took me over 2 hours to put together but I am slow and methodical. Early in the assembly process I decided to use a drop or two of superior primate glue gel to the tip of each screw (and in dowel holes) as one of the screws was spinning and didnt exactly tighten into the MDF. There were a few step where having two people would have been nice but I was able to put it together alone. There is a step where you have to lower the mostly built unit into the bottom or top piece where several screws and dowels need to line up, and also for putting on the doors an extra pair of hands would be nice. I have a step stool where the step is at the exact same height as the bottom of the two doors and I used it to rest the bottom of the door on while I attached the hardware. I thought I had the doors perfectly aligned tightening only one of the eight screws per door as a pivot while I used the step to hold the door still while I tightened the other screws trying to keep the door in place to align. I thought (and I did) have them well aligned but after a few days they look slightly off. The top seemed to be a little loose while moving the cabinet but I think one of the cams is not fully tightened, now in place this is irrelevant mostly and not perceived. Its pretty good for medium density fiberboard (MDF) furniture I think I caught it on sale for about 180. I cant complain too much for the price. I have put a spotlight on the few problems. Seem to be just fine, any reservations I have is probably not paying more for a solid hardwood piece. Sturdy, pretty solid and very nice looking. Enloe cabinet: B+/A/ Update the top was not secure because I did not properly tighten/close the cam a flat screw driver fixed that problem easily. The door seem to be getting a little more crooked, maybe its my imagination, and maybe I wouldnt even notice it if the issue had not been brought to my attention in previous reviews before I bought the item. However, the cabinet doors operate just fine and without any problems. Hardly noticable especially if you arent looking for it I suppose.
This accent cabinet exceeded my expectations. We put it in our entryway area below the stairs and it really brought the space to life. Although assembly was a pain with lots of little screws and not the best directions (it took way longer than 40 minutes for two people to put together), it was worth it in the end. Doors work well, shelves are specious inside. We like it! Exactly what I was looking for.
Relatively easy to assemble. I like the texture and color of the doors. Creates a very cute space. Its a nice piece of furniture. I bought it 20 more expensive that it is posted right now and I chatted with a representative and asked for a price adjustment and they credited de difference to account as a gift card, so great service. Nice style and color
So Ill preface this with saying I never expect much when I pay less than 200 for a piece of furniture, especially in terms of quality. This piece rises above those expectations. Yes, its a bit wobbly, a bit hard to assemble, but it is also incredibly cute and very functional. Bonus, the customer service from is second to none. I had an issue with another piece of furniture (one of the shelves was damaged) and they made sure I was well take care of. All in all, worth a risk for furniture that may not last forever, but will look good until you need to replace it. Meets Expectations
Used it for a book shelf. Wanted something a little different with modern midcentury style. This hit the mark! Very stylish and easy to put together. Looks so good!
Its a beautiful modern accent piece. Looks just like the picture. My husband was a tad annoyed putting it together bc it was in so many parts, but it didnt bother me at all! Really though, love the piece.
(Also, I was sent a giant roll of jute rope instead of the cabinet at first. Had to send that weird box back and then they sent the correct item. I think just a random mix up.) Very nice quality and looks nice.
Oh no. This bookcase is beautiful when assembled, but the assembly itself was difficult due to the cheapness/poor quality of materials and connecting hardware. Like the other reviews state, the connecting hardware is not a solid fit for the holes in the wood, and once assembled correctly screws literally fell out of the bookcase when it was turned right side up. Ill be unable to safely use this in my childs room without disassembling it and putting it back together with wood glue. With that being said, it is definitely a good looking unit, but its construction is very poor.
