Im a fully grown, adult ass man and Ive just recently made my living quarters about 40x more respectable by ditching my old frame and box spring for this actual bed. It may be cheap but its well made and has a clean look. The slats are close enough (less than 3 between) for my finicky mattress and stable enough that I havent had any movement so far in about 3mo. of use. With combined mattress + human + pets weight weve had about 400lbs on it without a peep. So far, so good.
I went back and forth on ordering this frame a few times because my fear that anything this price would be flimsy...and Im so glad I finally purchased it! The frame came neatly packed and included all necessary tools to put it together; construction was relatively easy (I did have to look up a video to clarify the first few steps as the directions are all pictures and no text but after that it was pretty straightforward). I do recommend having someone to help hold pieces in place while you put the screws in; my partner and I were able to complete it in about an hour. The slats also come with an adhesive strip to keep your mattress from sliding around but I opted not to use it and have not had any problems with my mattress sliding off the frame. Overall, very happy.
The reason I give this 4/5 stars is because there were some cosmetic issues. I ordered the dark brown frame; while the overall color is fine, theres some inconsistency with the wood stain and some areas are obviously lighter than others. Also, two of the four legs had dents in the side--this appears to have happened during shipping however and wasnt bad enough to effect the stability of the bed so it didnt bother me much, but this seems to be a common issue so keep that in mind.
the bed frame was super easy to assemble! it was done by my boyfriend and i in less than an hour. good amount if space between floor and bed (able to fit shallow tote bins underneath suitcases).
after about 3 months of using it, i noticed that the bed would wobble when we got into it. so the other day i went underneath and found that a lot of the bolts were pretty loose! easy fix to tighten them but something to consider
So I have the dark wood and it looks very nice dont get me wrong. This is a good buy for the price. But this isnt solid wood. Im a single woman whos 150 lbs. There is no support in the middle of the frame underneath, which I do not like. Major con. Lets put it this way if I were laying on my bed and a toddler were to start bouncing on my bed, id been nervous. If this is for one person under 200 lbs get it, but otherwise Im not so sure its the best option in terms of how sturdy it is.
I have had plenty of bad experiences assembling furniture - This bed was so easy to put together! Probably took me 30 minutes, the instructions and tools were so well laid out, and easy to understand. The bed look great, feels very sturdy. Im SO GLAD I didnt get a cheap bed from . Great value!
This is a nice looking bed that is high enough off of the floor to add a good deal of storage. The bed is sturdy. I have noticed so movement or sound when getting into or out of bed. This is a very good value.
For the money I guess its what you pay for. Soon after I purchased it I noticed my back was giving me problems. I spent some time paying attention to my habits to discover what was causing it. What I realized is this, I kept tripping over the center Footing on the bed platform. My beds in the past did not have a footing in center of the bed where it is easy to trip over when making the bed. Once I started paying attention to this and stopped tripping over it my back problems went away. Get a better bed that does not use a footing in the center of the perimeter structure.

Everything is fine. The legs are strong but the frame that holds the mattress is a bit flimsy. But that could be because Im fat.
