Aesthetically, it is a great looking desk. The issues come with sturdiness. Without it being weighed down, it is a flimsy desk. I can see things rocking simply by typing on a laptop. I have secured everything as tight as possible. I can sway it with an index finger. The wood doesnt line up perfectly, you can see some pieces of the board not being flat. I had a board that would not fit. Now for me to secure one of the shelves I have to take about half of it apart. The instruction manual is terrible. It is 1 piece of paper, front and back, with pictures and minimal words. I basically had to put it together with common sense, which isnt bad but if the instructions were better I would not have to put as much time into it as I did. It wouldnt take much effort from me to break it.
If the desk was more structurally secure, I would be more than happy with it. I have had to move it about an inch away from my wall so I do not constantly hear it rattling against the wall. If it wouldnt be such a hassle to disassemble it, put it back into some sort of packaging, and sending it off I would have returned it. I could justify some of the issues with it if it was ~$100, but for $200 it is way over priced. It more or less feels like something you would want to tie a room together, not an everyday desk.
I like the look of the desk... its going to be perfect for what I need it for. It seems pretty sturdy. Good price. A few steps were left out of the directions but inonly had to go back once and take something apart. If youve ever had experience putting together a piece of furniture from scratch, you will figure it out. Dont try to do it without the instructions!!
This desk is solid. It’s been a month of use and I have no regrets. It provides great storage and is sturdy. It’s not real wood, so be careful with liquid. Also, two of the six metal rods that hold it steady could not fit but they really weren’t needed for stability. I love it and am satisfied with my purchase.
A cup holder is a must for my husband. Right off the bat that was a bonus. He drinks beer while he whittles beautiful walking sticks and all kinds of fanciful woodsy things, and needed a large surface to work on and something that will hold up well to the elements of this desk being in an enclosed screened-in patio in the South. I think this will do it.
Building it was interesting. We understand blueprints and instructions, but the details were lacking and we were unfortunate enough to have to take it apart after a certain point an hour into it and had to turn pieces around. I was hopeful this would be a fast project with the wonderful labels on everything, matching the instructions. They left out important details. You have a 50/50 chance of it going right the first time. BUT, once its built, its crazy cool and a perfect desk. You have the option of which side to put the shelves and extras. My man was very happy!
There were a couple of minor very small spots on the desk top, that were injuries from the shipping of it. Super minor that wood polish will take out. I almost wasnt going to mention it here, but I believe in giving all the facts.
We are extremely happy with this desk.
Oh and did I mention, it has a cup holder!!!
Just the right size for my uses. Very easy to assemble, I was able to get it together in well under an hour. I ended up with a very strong desk that feel like its going to last me a good long time.
The size description is misleading and the desk is longer than stated. When this was realized and a return was requested shipping (> $200 per UPS) was not included. After several communications and explanations regarding difficulty in returning (both physically and financially), no accommodations were made.

Would be a great desk for $100, not worth the $200

Charge over $200 if a return is needed.
