The desk itself is very basic and kind of cheap, but for the price I didnt expect the Taj Mahal of desks. Its solid, clean, simple. Wasnt difficult to assemble, either. Overall pleased with it for what it is.
The downside for me was the shipping. The box literally survived just long enough to be carried up three flights of stairs to my apartment and was beat to sh!t. The styrofoam inside makes a BIG mess so have a vacuum ready. Luckily the desk itself didnt take any damage, but the box was missing one of the little cross x pieces for the short side of the desk. Not the end of the world.
It’s a nice desk, however, it is easy to make mistakes when assembling. Each piece has specific hole patterns and the orientation in which you fasten them really matters. There is no indication of this on the instructions so I’d recommend reviewing the entire assembly book prior to starting, so you’ll know what part needs to go where and you can orient them correctly from the start.
Otherwise, it’s a beautiful desk that does the job for a great price!
The shipping company broke the top of the desk. I emailed the company and they contacted me the next day. I sent them pictures and within 3 days they sent me a new top for the desk. Very happy with their response, communication and timing. I was very skeptical at first. But they made everything right. Instructions for assembly may be a little hard to follow if you don’t have experience following instructions and putting things together. But, nothing is hard to correct. It is sturdy and everything lined up perfectly.
i thought it would take up more space but it doesnt ! Theres so much space on top and storage that everything I need for both school and work fit with no issues. I have two monitors, a desktop, a printer, countless books, alexa and all my electronics are kep on this desk and it does not look messy at all. 10/10 would totally recommend
I was a little concerned when my package arrived because the box was damaged during transport but once I opened it, there was no need for concern. It was packaged in so much foam padding that it was almost impossible to damage. Every single piece is labeled with a letter so its easy to pull out and make sure everything is there. All of the screws and tools are individually wrapped and lettered also making it easy to make sure its all there. Whomever pre-drilled the holes into this desk was an absolute genius because the holes all line up perfectly. I was a little concerned because with pieces like this I normally run into trouble a hold being mis-aligned or a screw tearing the wood pieces up but every single thing was a perfect fit. I put this together by myself in about 2 hours. You can cut down on the amount of time it takes by using a light drill and 2 people. Once fully assembled its almost perfect... Its sturdy, not wobbly, fits perfectly where I need it to. The only suggestion I would have to the manufacturer is to maybe put a support beam in the center of the top and under the back side shelf but it is sturdy without that. To anyone trying to assemble this, pay close attention to the directions while you are assembling in order to get the shelving end on the side you want it on.
Really like the style of this desk. There is damage to the desk. I noticed it when I was placing the top part of the desk on. Other than that, its a very nice desk with lots of room.
I liked the minimalist look of this desk. It’s sleek and simple with slight design elements of the X on the back bracing it. The desk is sturdy and does not wiggle. Putting it together was pretty simple and straight forward. The pieces were all there and sectioned for easy finding. 1 of the pre drilled holes wasn’t fully popped out but was super easy to fix with a screw driver. I love how lightweight this desk is without sacrificing sturdiness and strength!
