It looks nice. Definitely took some time to assemble. One of the boards cracked when the last screw was inserted which is a real bummer. Hoping the company will send us a replacement board.
After reading other reviews of missing and damaged pieces, I made a point to carefully inspect and inventory each piece before beginning assembling the beds. Sure enough one of the bed rails was cracked. I called the manufacturer on a Tuesday and had the damaged piece replacement delivered on that Friday. Its a very nice bed for the price. Very sturdy. I would suggest plan ahead and not expect this thing to show up 100% ready to go only to have your kids sleeping on the floor while waiting for a part.
These are awesome so fa! My 5 and 3 year old LOVE the! They have an 8 inch mattress on both and there is still plenty of room. And Ive gotten a couple totes that fit perfectly under for some of their toys.
Solid construction. Took about 4 hours to put together. Very large labels (3 that take up the entire span of the headboard) on the outside of the top bunk stating the dangers of bunkbeds. Like a mattress tag, it said not to remove. We wanted a piece of furniture in the room, not something that had a huge label on the outside of the bed headboard. Taking the labels off to not damage the wood took over an hour and WD40 to help with the process. If I was aware of this before purchasing, it might have had an influence in the choice I made. Each bed has a weight limit of 165 pounds. Not an issue for us, but it might be helpful to know this first. Didnt notice this in the description, but saw it after the face in the reviews. Open rungs for mattress placement as well.
Great bed for the price. Wish it was a little taller but all in all its aming. College roommate and I needed a bunk bed since we moved to a smaller apartmwnt. I put it together myself (took about 5 hours with multiple breaks). Everything was perfect except one screw which didnt have a hole for the screwdriver (factory defect I guess). I just used a wrench and everything else was perfect. It looks just like the pictures. We have 6 inch mattresses which are perfect fits. So I highly recommend this
Update: Weve now owned this bed for nearly 2 years and it has held up very well.
I completely stand by my original review.
This bed is an outstanding dea It was no more difficult to assemble than our Ikea furniture and a similar price point, but much better quality. This bed is actually made of solid wood. I read up on rubberwood before purchasing this bed. It is lighter and stronger than pine. The bed looks beautiful and is very sturdy. We had looked at bunk beds in several furniture stores. This bed is better made than any of the more expensive beds we saw in person. I love that the ladder is secured to the top bunk at an incline for easier climbing. My 5 year old alternates between the top and bottom bunk. She sleeps safely in either spot. Both bunks are great for play areas, too.
I dont know if they beefed up the quality control on this one since all the complaints, but every single piece was clearly marked. The instructions were easy to figure out. The support boards were not rough at all, very smooth. I do recommend having a power drill on hand to make the job easier, but other than that no complaint I think its very sturdy. My granddaughter loves it, so that makes it a great buy for m!
