I missed that it would come in parts and was amed the ease of figuring out how to assemble it. Very relieved and have used it since November. Excellent product.
We had it built for us as it arrived in very many parts for us to put together. Ive slept on it weeks in a row, plus my familys two dogs get on it as well. I dont mind opening it up and unzipping the mattress each visit. Hide it behind a three/part screen in the tv room, plus bedding. Its a bit cumbersome to store but nicer to sleep on than an air bed and less expensive and easier to move than a futon. Works very well for my familys needs, and so far mattress is quite comfortable, imagine I can spring for a mattress topper in a few years should it ever start to sag.
My husband and I put this together. It took about an hour, referring frequently to both the instructions and the video. I feel like, now that we have put one together, we could assemble another in half the time or less (probably still not as fast as the guy in the video, though).
We didnt have an electric screwdriver / it would have helped / or a deadblow hammer/rubber mallet to work with the pegs / also would have helped / but we managed fairly comfortably with a regular Phillips head screwdriver and beating the pegs (gently!) with the side of a wrench. Yeah, we never claimed to be experts.
I really liked the quality control on this platform. ALL of the holes lined up just fine, and we were supplied the right number of pieces, all in good condition. Ive assembled high end computers before that werent as careful (had to have my husband drill an additional hole in a cpu fan mounting bracket, to line it up with the motherboard).
You really need to watch the video (the twin bed assembly) a few times, while looking at the written instructions, to get a feel for the process. Being a nerd, I took screenshots. And Id consider labeling the different wood cuts / when the instructions refer to F, it would be helpful to have it stamped somewhere on the wood itself. But thats a fairly minor detail. All in all, Im delighted with this mattress platform.
I just put this bed together. First thing I noticed was the wood was a good quality/ a few small rough areas but mostly smooth. I havent finished it yet, but mine was tulip poplar wood and it was a little greenish, the manufacturer says it will brown with age, so I will wait to see how that looks before I either seal or stain it The instructions are brief but got the job done. It took me about an hour. Have a rubber mallet and cordless screwdriver handy. This is mostly pegged construction. I put my mattress on it and layed on it and it was sturdy/ didnt move at all. My floor is carpeted, I dont know if it would move on hard floors. Happy with purchase.
I liked the simple and modern design and how easy it was to assemble. Its a great bed / sturdy enough/ if you actually just sleep and dont move too much. but it does not handle well other activities in bed, this thing squeaks A LOT! Im pretty sure my neighbours could hear it and I found it too distracting so I actually sold it after having it for a few months because of this. would recommend it only for a kids room (please do t do this to your guests!)
I received no compensation or reward for leaving this review. I just built this queen size bed frame fairly easily. I did have to use a hammer or mallet to push some of the pins through, but otherwise it was simple to put together. I could insert the self/driving screws with a hand/held phillips/head screw/driver. I did not have to drill any extra holes.if you are putting this bed frame together and think that is necessary, it just means that some parts need to be pushed together and aligned a little bit more. The written directions were okay, though I used a combination of the written ones and the video to figure out how to insert the clips. Having built it, there is no wobbling at all, not even close. Overall, I think this very sturdy, high quality, and a good value for the price.
For the price I couldnt be happier with this frame. Also made in the USA! My wife and I wanted A frame for a futon mattress that could be stored during the day. Frame does just that, sturdy enough to support 2 plus size people but light enough to be put away easily. This is also a wood frame (squeak) so does take some time to break in. Bed has survived my self and spouse with little complaints, my sons (36) have regularly used the bed as launch pad and crash landing pads. Company is extremely prompt and courteous with replys which cannot be understated nowadays.
I love how efficient, simple, and sturdy this bed design is. The assembly is straight forward but not intuitive right off the bat / I recommend watching the assembly video here on the product page as the in/box instructions arent as helpful. It took less than 30 minutes with just me. I also highly recommend the use of a cordless drill to drive the screws (which are excellent quality), as they take some force to drive and its better on your hands. I wish all furniture was this affordable, high/quality, versatile, and attractive!
My boyfriend and I had been looking for a simple, reasonably priced platform bed for months when I stumbled across this one.and Im so grateful I did. So far this bed has exceeded all of my expectations. It arrived quickly, with all of its parts neatly organized and clear instructions. The wooden pieces are made of solid poplar and are quite sturdy. It took all of 25 min to assemble and, the entire bed is light enough for one person to move around. We threw a queen mattress on top and have been sleeping soundly since.
It took about 90 minutes to assemble, mostly because I was trying to be very quiet. The directions were very clear/only a couple places could have used more direction, like more explicitly stating holes face one way or something. It seems very sturdy and looks nice. Didnt need too much space to put it together and I did it by myself, only needed a Phillips head screwdriver. The wood is unfinished, but even the instructions state that a clear stain would look nice. Im very happy with it.

Better than a spare room at Moms house.

Great Attention to Quality / Best to Use Both Written Instructions AND Video 2
