This is an extremely well-made gas can. We bough three of these and three Chinese Knock-offs and there simply is no comparison. These cans are much more robust, sturdy, and heavy made. For those on the fence, go to the website and they have a video of customers running over a can with their SUV and throwing it down the side of a hill. Not only did it hardly dent the can, it still didnt leak and was still fully functional.
The only negative is the high cost. These cans are easily 3 times the price of a plastic or steel knock-off can. So for those who are planning to only rarely use the can, there are definitely netter values. However, if you are like us and prefer to only buy something once and appreciate exceptionally well-made products, this can is for you. It will likely outlive most people and possibly their kids. Also think it would be an excellent investment for Ranches, Farms, active campers and off-road enthusiasts. Another positive of these cans is you can easily stack them while you really cannot plastic cans (though you can the Chinese knock-offs).
I agree with other reviewers that the compliant spout isnt great... but they are great in ANYONES can so I dont hold that against . Just buy the flexible spout as part of your original investment.
These metal Jerry Cans are great! I purchased 3 of them and they are very sturdy. There was one with sharp metal edges around the handle but its liveable. Besides that they look great and matches all my black outdoor vehicles.
Our old military fuel cans had rusted out on the bottom so it was time for new ones... they are great! I wish there was a metal spout option as Im worried how the plastic one will hold up in below weather conditions when we are hunting.
These Jerry Gas cans are awesome, but the plastic spout that they come with are a piece of junk in my opinion, and thats why I gave a rating of 4-stars. 3 of the 4 cans I ordered last year came with plastic spouts that had pieces broken off of them, and this affects their ability to catch onto the rim of the fuel-tank that youre filling up with the Jerry-can and be depressed like a plunger to open the spouts internal valve and let the gas pass through -- totally worthless! So, do yourself a favor, and get a the flexible (metal) pour spout and use that instead. Those pour a lot faster and they dont break as easy as the plastic ones do. Its an additional item to purchase, but worth it!
Here in Florida, we just escaped Hurricane Dorian. We did not need to start our gas generator, which was probably just as well, as I discovered that both of our plastic 5 gallon containers were leaking. Reading the reviews, I ordered 4 of these cans and they arrived today. They are absolutely fantastic quality, built like a WWII armored tank. Filled them up and no leaks. The fittings and finish are of a quality that one would have expected 50 years ago. The first time you open the filler, it is very stiff, but after that, it opens and closes easily. the cap has a very heavy duty seal and the locking pin is a sensible safety measure. The advertising says that the 3 handles on top are if you wish to carry multiple cans. The reality is that you only carry one, and you use the middle handle. if you need help, 2 persons can use the 2 outer handles. If you spend far less and buy a plastic can, you will be wasting your money and regret it in the medium term. also, I checked out the Chinese metal copies of this can and they are of a lighter gauge metal and have basically cheapened the proper specs that uses.

Great Jerry Can
Awesome Jerry can to hold race gas! Seals great with no smell from oxygenated full and extends the life of the fuel.
