Coffee table was very difficult to put together. Multiple bolts did not fit and the holes were too small to drive the screws. Had to use power drill for screws which was frustrating given awkward angles in the table. Engineered food is flimsy. did not fit properly and did not align with holes for bolts. Hydraulic lift is finicky and difficult to use.
Table is fairly sturdy overall and has some storage, though less than it appears to have in pictures. Overall, product has many issues and customers would be better spending their money on other lift/top coffee tables. (Ex: Ashley furniture has a comparable table on sale with better material for 183). Will likely seek to return product given its manufacturing errors and lack of functionality.
I am really impressed with the design and overall quality of this item. The instructions are OK but with not enough cautions for pitfalls. The main one for me was the center wall of the main boxcan be put in two ways it needs to be clearly stated that the small pilot holes ( which I did not notice need to face inside the big section of the box. The other caution is that you do not want to improve the item by glueing the wooden pegs in because if you do and make a mistake later you will not be able to remedy it
Finally I would like to suggest to the manufacturer that they make the inside of the box all black instead of the perimeter on the inside wood grain and the base and before mentioned inside partition black. That actually might be cheaper and eliminate the need for the wood grain patches to cover the cam lock holes since the patches will never really match the main wood grain but the black patches become invisible.
What I like best is that the provided extra hardware so that if you loose one or screw one up you dont have to wait weeks for a replacement. Thats well thought out and the sign of a quality product. Just as the packing was outstanding with actual thick molded plastic corners in addition to the rigid cardboard corners to absorb any shock loads during shipping. That to me shows they have respect for their product as well as their customers.
All in all as I said a well designed and manufactured product that really looks great as both a computer desk when opened and a coffee table when closed.
The next time I need something for my home or office is the first place I will look.
Love this and Im so happy I purchased this table. The directions were a little confusing in a few areas but overall, I put it together myself. The is a great height, the slide drawer has plenty of storage in it. Minor note: all parts (screws, wooden plugs) had one extra piece for everything. Concerned me at first but it all worked out. It would have been better if the manufacture had the holes predrilled so we knew where to place everything exactly. The slider drawer is slightly separated, even when closed all the way, and rubs when opening and closing. Any adjustments to close the drawer completely or change the angle so it doesnt rub would create extra holes and would be so close together it might not be possible.
Revised/Additional review / 2 months after everything has been assembled, all four screws on the legs have become loose. Due to the cam locks keeping everything in place it has become near impossible to tighten the screws. Currently in progress to disassemble the entire top unit to reach the legs. The pads for the bottom of the legs didnt last 48 hrs and have all come off.
Very easy to assemble . It took about an hour and a half. But we were also watching a soccer game while putting it together. Just mske sure you have all of the tools when assembling .
If I could have she this back after I took it out of the box and saw all of the pieces I would have. There were so many pieces. Like legos, they seemed to multiply when I wasnt looking. Thankfully, assembly wasnt that terrible. Despite what the instructions say I recommend doing it alone, only to save you the time youll inevitably spend arguing with your building partner. There was a small gap on one side when I was done, it irritates me but its fine.
Unfortunately, if you need to easily move the coffee table, to make room to do your Richard Simmons workout videos, this is not the table for you, or me. I discovered that its very heavy and does not move easily. This morning, one of the legs is bent and no longer structurally sound, due to all the moving for the workout videos.

I want to say that its a little expensive for a coffee table but I think its worth every penny. Its study and I love how the top lifts cuz were using it as our dining table also. The storage is nice. I can hide a lot of stuff when guests are over.

it was easy for me and my fiance to assemble. instructions for us was clear. there were no missing or damage parts. the table was sturdy and i like it
Awesome table for storage
Setup took probably 3 hrs, but overall everything works great!
Save space and got rid of my dining table.
