Easy to assemble, very sturdy, I even climb up there to make the bed with ease. It doesn’t squeak when you’re moving around. Fits a general sized futon under it (I believe our futon is 75-76 inches wide). Love it!
My husband put this together on his own in about an hour. My 3 yr old and 6 yr old sleep in it comfortably and I feel safe having them sleep there every night. What more can I ask for! Instructions to assemble pretty clear.
My husband and I ordered three of these in the twin size, one for each of our children so they had more space in their bedrooms. These beds are amazing! I assembled them on my own while my husband was at work. Each bed only took about an hour to assemble. They look great and seem as if they will hold up pretty well (assuming my children are somewhat responsible with them). Great price. Pretty sturdy. They do move a little if I climb onto it, but that may just be an issue with my uneven flooring (old house) rather than the beds themselves. Its not enough to cause alarm, and I am attaching the included brackets to the walls just for the added security.
I was hesitant to buy this bed due to some of the negative reviews--after all, my kid's safety is my number one concern. However, there was still an abundance of positive reviews that far out number the negative. I'm glad I pulled the trigger and purchased this bed, it's great quality at a great price.
I'm not sure why so many people were complaining about poor instructions or the length of time it took to assemble. The instructions were fairly straight forward, I didn't have a single issue--just read the instructions and look at the pictures closely. In regards to the assembly time, it took me 2 1/2 hours to assemble by myself. That might be lengthy to some, but considering the amount of pieces and the fact that I did it myself, I think I made pretty good time. You're building a bunk bed, you kind of have to have the expectations going into this that it will take some time.
The best advice I can give:
1. When you install the upper cross bar labeled 'Part H', Make sure the small screw holes are facing DOWN! If you do this incorrectly, you will not be able to install the ladder and will have to disassemble everything to that point.
2. If you're using this for a young child and are concerned about them falling off the top, I would recommend not getting a mattress thicker than 8". We purchased the Signature Sleep Contour 8" mattress off and it's perfect. It leaves exactly 6" from the top of the mattress to the top of the guardrail.
Overall, the bed seems really sturdy. My 6 year old sleeps on the top and my 3 year old on the bottom. I have laid on the bottom without any issues, I'm 210 lbs. Not to be rude, but I'm fairly confident that most of the negative reviews about this bed are likely caused by human error--simple as that. Take your time and don't rush it!
First, the tube size chosen for this thing would make it bomb-proof. Very heavy duty, I have absolutely no worries of rowdy sleepovers racking the whole thing. You're not going to tear this thing up...unless it's not quite right when it arrives.
Assembly was a bit of a challenge, but I rarely read the instructions and that may have helped.
They appeared to be written in English-as-a-third language. Supplies!
One of the threaded grommets that hold the main pieces together had a sloppy weld that damaged the grommet to the point that I couldn't insert the bolt.
And, of course, it was one of the main connections. I have monitored the situation (ok, I slept in the bottom bunk and didn't break it) and I think it should hold. If it doesn't, I'll most likely have to take the piece and get it welded, or try to mount some type of bracket to it to hold the weight.
Overall, happy but QC could have caught the only issue before it became one.
4 stars overall.
My awesome, but now ex boyfriend put them together with my sons. The first one took them maybe two hours. The second one was maybe 40 minutes. They are pretty high, higher than standard wood ones. They are a bit wobbly-- they are on stilts. The ladder really hurts your feet, we're looking for a way to soften it.
We like them very much.

Affordable and sturdy
It is a two hour project. It is very sturdy. What I like most about it is that it has a 10 inch railing that keeps the kids from falling.
Love it

I can say it was a pain to put it alone but once I got it, it was easy.

Great for small bedrooms!!
Great beds!! I bought 2 for my 13 and 10 year old boys. It provides them their own personal space under the bed.... it's been a savior!
