Ive had the bike for a week now and so far so good. I just bought it for the occasional ride around the neighborhood and everything is great. Maybe if your looking for something more audacious and adventurous then you my have to get a higher priced model. Additionally, I have very little assembly skills and it took me about 2 hours to complete with infrequent help from my wife to hold it when assembling the front tire. All you need is some hex keys and pliers for the handlebars and back breaks. I dont know where all the complaints come from because it does come with slightly helpful instructions. It came double boxed from Fed Ex so it was in immaculate condition when it arrived in 3 days.
my spokes and brake discs arrived virtually perfectly aligned when assembled, so ymmv. it was missing a screw to hold the handlebars on (i had 1 instead of 2) and i called, they sent me a replacement in just a couple days.
the 29 aluminum with disc brakes is solid kit for 400. the frame, though aluminum has strong welds and thick tubing at junctions. not particularly light for an aluminum/alloy bike, but it is strong.
the pedals, shifters and seat are pretty garbage and the brakes have stopping power about on par with cantilever brakes.
i still think its a good bike though, given prices for bikes in 2022.
I like it so far. The assembly instructions were relatively clear. One thing to note: make sure the bolt of top of the handle bar is very tight or the handle bar will disconnect from the fork and you will lose control. Size wise, Im almost 57 and 30 inseam, and it feels a little too high for me. My inseam almost touches the top frame tube. I think a 17 or 16 bike would give me more clearance, but Im happy with this one.
I bought the bike used here on , because the price was a bargain. After careful assembly, something felt off so I took it to the bike shop to get it looked at and properly tuned. As it turns out, they had to rebuild the front wheel hub overhaul and replace the hub cones and bearings. Whoever bought the bike before me and returned it busted the hub overhaul for the front wheel, and it was sold to me like that. The seller should look over the used items before re/selling them. The bike works perfect now, but only after going through the shop.

Solid kit given the times

It ends up it is a great bike and my 14 year old loves it
My son was leery of letting me buy this bike. It ends up it is a great bike and my 14 year old loves it.
Best bike with good road grip / Smooth ride
The bike is awesome; Have done so far100+ miles; With change of gears climbing uphill is never an issue. Good workout as well.

Needed repair / Front wheel hub overhaul was broken

The performance per price is good.
I think that my choice was not wrong. The performance per price is good. But I feel something because it is a little heavy.
