Just ok This piece will work if youre not too demanding on the quality. Nothing to compare with which I previously bought but it didnt work for me. The assembly instruction is poor and led me to a few mistakes Id rather avoid. Some of the wood pieces are stitched from smaller parts and have knots. Some pieces are barely painted (you can see a wood texture through the thin layer of paint). Some pieces are made from MDF, not wood. Clearly overpriced for that quality but will work for some time.
Very easy to set up! The directions werent the best. Had to undo things a few times just to turn it the right way. Material is just okay. I guess appropriate for the price.
But overall I do like it and my son has yet to leave the room by chose. He woke up the first morning and just laid in bed watching TV and said he didnt want to get out.
I put lights around the bottom, theres a decent amount of space under there for him to hang out.
I saw a lot of reviews with damaged pieces so was nervous when the boxs (3) showed up in pretty bad condition. There were very small marks on the wood but nothing I was really concerned about. Probably couldnt even find them again without really looking. Id recommend this.
My son loves it!! Ive bought and assembled a lot of flat pack furniture in my lifetime. Most of it has not been sturdy or used decent quality material as I would have hoped. This bed has been a very good purchase and we are very happy with all aspects. The bed parts are well made and the fit and finish are above average. The instructions were easy to follow. Once assembled the bed is very sturdy. Our only complaint was the short screws that attached the desk rails to the underside of the bed frame. They were way too short so there was barely 1/8 of screw engagement. The weight of the desk pulled the screws out. I got some T/nuts and longer bolts. Now the desk rails are fully supported against both gravity and downward pressure on the desk. If we ever needed another loft bed this would be the only one we would buy!
Worth the price !!! Bought this as an early Christmas present for my 11yr old. She has always wanted a bunk bed but we are very limited in space. The shelves serve more as a catch all (she has far too many books for it). The desk is used all day, everyday. While I would love to have her push it in when its not in use, it doesnt seem to ever not be used lol. The drawers could be a bit larger. She doesnt have many clothes but the ones she wears dont all fit. At 11yrs the ladder seems to be more of a recommendation than a requirement. She is lanky as all get out and uses one rung just to get high enough to over the banister. She keeps a tent on it as well so the banister cutout is blocked for the most part. How she doesnt break something getting up in the middle of the night, Ill never know. The underside serves as a wonderful storage area for her tubs of art supplies too. Overall, shes incredibly pleased with this purchase!
