Space saver, hard to get down

Took us about 2 hours to put together. It’s such a great space saver, and our daughter loves it. Cons about it are the hard steps which she doesn’t mind as much anyways. A big negative is how hard it is for her to get up/down since there is no clear opening for the steps. Other than that, we love it.

    Super

Très facile à monter, je l'ai fait seule, un peut difficile lors que je l'ai mit debout, car c'est lourd, mais sinon c'est une merveille.

    Pretty good value

Turned out pretty good. Wanted wood but this is apparently stronger. Wife likes it, turned out to be a good buy

Easy to assemble by two teenage college boys and it's still going strong!

Two teenage boys put this together in their apartment. My son is 6 foot 5 and they have had no trouble with it so far since September. I found out they didn't bother to put the little plastic things in the holes for the slats. I'm not very happy about that, but so far it has not affected the bed in any way. They also chose to take the ladder off as it hurt their feet and they didn't need it. So bottom line. Two college baseball player boys have not broken this yet. Great price. Update: After six months we had to tear it down to move my son and it was still going strong. I will say that if you have to take it apart, although easy, there are a billion pieces

    Sturdy and Nice Looking

Unfortunately we received a defective part in ours and they were not able to replace it, but the company did offer to replace the entire bed for free or refund. Really too bad because the bed is otherwise very nice looking and not too difficult to assemble. Keep in mind however this thing is HEAVY and lots of parts. 5/5 for service, sturdiness, and design

Good bed at a good price, but assembly is somewhat painful

Unlike most bunk bed owners, I'm not a parent, but rather a college student sharing a 100-square-foot bedroom with a roommate in an apartment. We found that this was a great way to fit two beds in the cramped space. For $100 each, it was quite affordable. I'm a little unusual in that I only weigh 115 lbs., so even a bed designed for children could support me on the top bunk, but from what I've seen of this bed, it's sturdy enough that a 140- or 150-pound person could occupy the top bunk safely. Unsurprisingly, the frame isn't totally rigid; the joints certainly flex a fair amount when you climb up or turn over. But this is normal for any self-assembled bunk bed that doesn't cost a fortune, and it's never in danger of buckling or tipping. Most of the assembly is quite easy. The parts fit together very well and the instructions are very good. But one of the very last steps involves securing the many metal slats that support the mattresses. This is done with little plastic pieces that have to be popped into place in the hole above the slat. Unfortunately, they are extraordinarily difficult and extremely painful to press into place, and many of the pieces simply do not fit, period. We ended up using a pocketknife to shave a small strip off the bottom of the pieces that wouldn't go in, which at least allowed them to fit - somewhat less securely in many cases - but it was still quite painful to pop them into place. That was a major blemish on an otherwise very smooth assembly process. The hellishness of the plastic pieces is the only reason I'm giving the bed four stars instead of five. Especially for the price, the bed is excellent.
