Would have gave five stars because the item is exactly as described and arrived earlier than expected, but there was a ding in the wood at the head of the bed. The mattess covers it up though so I wasn't too concerned.
WOW! This bed took FOREVER to put together. It is not difficult, but it is packaged weird and all of the pieces are not in coordinating boxes. After unpacking 3 giant boxes I organized everything and got it going. It probably took about three hours to complete. I love it though and it looks great in my room. I did not reinforce the slats or add felt like some others have mentioned, and it does not rock or squeak.. even when doing uh activities lol.
I am a little hesitant to move it much since it is so big and moving it could cause the corners to break but there is no need really. My only issue is that this bed is obviously made for a Cali king, and therefore there is about 6 inches of space on either the top or bottom when you put a regular king size mattress on it. I left the gap at the top, and bought some cheap body pillows and pretty cases from Walmart. I stuffed them in the crack, and essentially added extra pillows to my bed. It doesn't bother me at all, but I did panic when I first saw how much extra space there was. This is exactly what I had expected and I am happy with my purchase.
Wow, actually better quality than I expected. The drawers have to be assembled but they are sturdy. The directions were understandable and assembly was fairly easy.
It is quite heavy though so know where you are putting it and get help getting it into the bedroom. We helped the UPS driver bring it up to the house because he was alone and the boxes were very heavy. The Queen bed was shipped in three very heavy boxes.
Wow, it looks great. It feels great. Matches the rest of furniture. The delivery was quick and in perfect condition. Fast and easy assembly. I love it!!!
Wow, this thing was a pain to put to put together! It shipped in three separate boxes and took my husband and me about four hours to assemble. Directions are only semi-clear. That being said, it seems like a sturdy bed. We were not missing any parts, and there was no apparent damage to any parts. It is very heavy, so make sure to assemble it where it was going to stay. Drawers have plenty of storage space and are all functional. One of the drawers does not sit completely flushed with the bed, but it's so minor that it's not a big deal. Our king mattress fits well in it, no box springs required.
Yes I'm a picky consumer. And I did not expect this to be something that would become an estate heirloom or something. And its manufatured well enough. The instructions for assembly were thorough and sensible. All parts needed were included and fit together correctly (one drawer side needed a little drilling by me to correct two misaligned through-holes which, being a mechanic, I had no problem handling but they do have a parts replacement policy to cover this sort of thing). Assembly took longer than advertised, taking me almost five hours in total. You need to take your time because if you rush it you're gonna strip screwholes very easily with laminated particle boards or do other damage as you have to re-do parts that you mis-install, etc. - you get the idea. I took my time and - hats off to mftr - the finished product looks and works as advertised, is solid, supports my new latex mattress very well and should last a long time. Tell you what - the combo of this bed and mattress is way heavy! I was able to move it on my slate tile floor pretty easily before adding the mattress though. Its pretty tall too - which I like though. With my 9 mattress its a total of 31 high from the floor to top of mattress. Drawer slides have good fit and rolling smoothness. Laminate finish (espresso color) is thin and was worn looking at some edges out of the box; nicks and scratches easily. Drawer bottoms are pressed fiberboard - if they get wet, they're in trouble, but that shouldn't happen. All in all, I'm very satisfied. For the price, I thought the laminate finish should have been better.

Beautiful and time consuming, but a little too big.

Satisfactory only
