We spent today putting this item together. It wasn't really easy. But we finished. One problem is that four of the six drawers do not close flush. Does this mean the platform is not square? Anybody have any suggestions about what do do?
I don't thing I will purchase another storage bed if the drawers do t close.
We were looking for some extra space to store clothes in a small bedroom and soon began considering the idea of a storage bed. We looked around quite a bit and found that the cost of good quality storage beds was a little high for us. However, we came across this item which qualified for shipping and decided to give it a shot. We are very glad that we did!
The bed arrived in three boxes very neatly organized and packaged with good care. The directions are very easy to understand and include helpful tips and photos. Personally, not exactly a handy, mechanically inclined individual--but perhaps even I could have handled most of the assembly on my own with a hammer, power screwdriver, and about two hours of patience.
The process went smooth and the finished product is actually better than I expected---the quality of the wood and particularly the drawers is really good for the price.
We got it to the house two days after it was ordered and had it together the day it arrived. For the money, the Prepac 6-drawer storage bed is an excellent value.
We were not sure how good the quality of the bed would be. This was for our daughter's room. It came well packaged and with good instructions. With the help of my daughter, I was able to assemble it in less than an hour. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the bed does not seem very sturdy (but for the price it is excellent) and the drawers are not really attached to the bed, but they roll under and there is a hook to keep them in place. Not terrible, but still.. I recommend this bed.
We were really excited to get this bed for my daughter. It's a nice platform with 6 drawers and that was a plus, who doesn't need extra drawers? The reason I gave it 3 stars is because of the support, there's barely any and she was complaining it was uncomfortable because she could feel the slats through her mattress. You have a series of 1 by 4 slats and that's it. We threw her fancy high dollar mattress on it, she had it for less than a week when the boards started breaking and cracking so we had to go and buy 4 replacement boards AND plywood to cover them and give more support. Since we've reinforced it the way it should be, there haven't been any problems at all! But we shouldn't have had to go and buy those things for it, it should have come with it for the support anyways.
We were worried when we first ordered it because we’ve been looking for a good sturdy storage bed for a long time. After quite a bit of research we finally found one. We love it!
Well made for it's price range (keep in mind it is made of press board laminated with a simulated wood grain). Delivered to your door in three boxes, each weighing 20-25lbs. It did take me and my son about 2 hours to put it together, nothing hard to do, just a lot of screws and bolts. It is just what my son needed for his small bedroom. Combined with a $300 mattress from Sam's Club, it makes a very comfortable bed (you do not need a box springs with this bed platform).
Well made product and instruction are in ENGLISH not China version, and easy to understand and follow.
Recommend you use a drill with Philips head bit and an Allen head bit as this will speed up process. First one I put together took about and hour and a 15 minutes. The second one took 40 minutes. A couple of suggestions - don't put the JRN nuts in as suggested in step 4 as they will fall out, rather insert them 1 by one at steps 7, 8, 9, and 10 as you insert JCB connectors. In steps 7,8,9,10 insert the JCB connectors in the top holes first, lifting panel as necessary to align holes. Also follow advice in step 7 concerning adjusting the JRN nut with a screwdriver.
All in all pretty decent product with very good instructions.

Very nice when you add some hardware!
We used the instructions by another reviewer on how to shore up the stability of this platform bed and are very satisfied.
... the screws were there and it went together very easily.
We were impressed the bed used real wood and all the screws were there and it went together very easily.
Pleasantly Surprised

Plan To Purchase Plywood To Reinforce
