I have been using this chair for over a month now and its been working pretty well so far. The seat is really comfortable, the arm rest is adjustable, and the wheels on the bottom are very smooth. The building part was a bit hectic but its mainly because I didnt read the instruction throughly. I didnt notice that before screwing each screw in you had to put a flat washer in first. So I ended up having to remove all the screws and repeat the process. The only real flaw in my opinion is the fact that the back piece stays in place and can only move with the seat. So you cant really lean back. And that can be a bit tiring or uncomfortable over a long period of time. But overall, I still think this is a great chair despite some flaws here and there.
Im 52. Chair and desk shopping is usually a nightmare. Not only is it comfortable, easy to assemble, light and compact (I assembled it in my garage in 20 mins and hauled it to my 2nd floor office in my 1850s farm house), its also adjustable enough that I dont feel like a child sitting at my desk. The foot stool under my desk is now for comfort/habit; not necessity. Its also very high quality for the price. The cat also approves.
What I didnt like is that the back curve covers so much of the seat that it really doesnt work well for longer legs. I worked around this by only using two of the four screws so the back sits back further and now it works for my needs.
I love this chair. The instructions was easy to follow. Every item was properly labeled. The back support is comfortable. The seat padding is just as comfortable. This is the best office chair I have owned.
During the pandemic, Ive been working from my couch, but theres no back or butt support due to the soft pillows, so I needed a change. This chair accomplishes its purpose perfectly. The most difficult aspect of construction was figuring out how to press the wheels into the legs, and while the seat cushion provides support, it isnt the most comfy. To remedy this, I can always purchase a moderately priced stand-alone seat cushion. I can get shorter or taller since the lumbar support is in the right place and the hydraulics work. Im quite pleased with my purchase, which was decently priced.
Easy to assemble. Understand that for the price, it is a basic simple chair. Nothing like a real office chair that a person could sit in for long periods but OK for a short time in a personal home office. At first, I could not get the back to recline at all; was rigid. However, after looking at the mechanism closely I discovered that one must first unlock the recline function for it to work. Use the height adjustment handle and pull it horizontally away from the chair. It will move slightly and then the recline is unlocked. Buying a chair without sitting in it is risky. I would never pay for an expensive one without trying some out in a store. Bottom line, its probably OK for the price but remember one usually gets what one pays for.
