As a chair it is very comfortable, I have not yet reclined the back cushion to use it as a bed yet. But it serves its purpose in the room I wanted in. Although the instructions suggest two people put it together, I assembled it by myself, it took me approximately 3hrs. So make sure you have patience and sufficient time to dedicate to assemble the chair/bed. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase. Im happy
The chair came in 3 large boxes, which I knew there was going to be some assembly. It took my husband and I, 3 hrs to put it together. The main frame bar came bent. It does not affect the operation of the chair, but the predrilled holes , not all of them match where the screws should go. Once we finally got the chair assembled it looks great! However, you sit on it and you can feel the metal/wood frame in the seat. So not the most comfortable thing. The foot rest extends by pulling out and raising but there is no lock mechanism of any kind to keep it close to the chair to lay on it. So thats another issue. Comes out easy enough though. So all in all I was disappointed in the comfort of the chair. Looks great. Ill have to add some sort of cushion to it in order to use it as a bed for someone. Its way too hard. We would have returned it, but it took us so long to get it together neither one of us wanted to tackle taking it apart. its very comfortable
Ok first of all I took stars off because this was not easy to assemble. They being the manufacture, thought it would be helpful to put directional stickers on the parts. Well the stickers not all but some, were incorrectly slapped in the parts. It left us scratching our heads thinking what are we doing wrong ? Yes the manufacture had the stickers wrong so 4 of us had to figure it out and realize we were not wrong. What a waste of time. The item came in 3 boxes. Once put together it was not easy to bring the ottoman up to align with the chair / doing it several times it finally connected. But it will work for what we need it for. I will say the chair is pretty. I hope it last more than a year. It does seem sturdy. It came with 2 nice pillows. Its a little firm for my liking but its nice to have a little twin bed when. You need it. I think capacity weight is 330 lbs. which is great. Works well
The small pillow has spring marks on it. Packed poorly. Screwing the screws in the bottom part was hard, to say the least. The holes were not at all lined up and there was some black stuff covering the holes, which made it even harder to screw to the screws in.
Overall, it came out nice. Just was not fun to put together. And of course, the messed up pillow. Boo. Like it a lot
Extra twin bed space for a 9 year old who visits often sleeps over. Shares a bedroom with a18M Sis a 5YR Sis when she stays over. This chair is perfect to save on floor space extra sleeper. what else can I say
It was easy to assemble but needs someone with a bit of strength. It is very firm so dont expect it to be plush. Its not easy to turn it into bed since you have to move some parts. But overall it does its job well. Nice color and easy to assemble
Backstory: This was a gift from my boss after he found out that the space that me and my fiance were living in was too small for us. Allow me to explain: I suffer from chronic migraines (more on that later) and my fiance and I both work from home. The place we were living was too small to account for both of us to have an office so my fiance set up shop in our bedroom, which was all the space he needed to work. Problem was, on the days that I couldnt stay in bed to nurse my migraines, I was having such a difficult time because my fiance worked for a Helpdesk so his laptop and phones were constantly ringing. Im sure you can imagine how much that didnt help my situation. Our couch is not comfortable at all because its a cheap recliner sofa that belongs to my roommate so I couldnt lay down on it properly without being even more in pain.
Long story short: when I was able to assemble this in my office for use for when I have a severe headache, it helped SO much. Yes, its firm. It is VERY firm. Like HARD. But for headaches, its perfect. The pillows give just enough support and it takes up almost no room. My cats love it. Its honestly fantastic. I purchased a down comforter (twin size) to use as a mattress topper for guests and havent had complaints yet. Honestly Im thrilled with this purchase and I would absolutely purchase it again. Was pleasantly surprised
