First glance it was heavy, i was intimidated...once my friend starting putting it together it got easier and easier and i loved the design and feel of the bed. They really thought about things. Even the slats are the most thought about ive ever seen in a bed. They already curve as to not bend over time. Bed feels nice and velvety...its more teal under my lighting but i like that...i was a little nervous to get kids bed but idk who's kid is living this lavish lol i have 12 inch mattress so if you wanna see more of the bed get a 8 inch
Great bed! Makes twin size seem much larger. Very soft and comfortable to lean against! Highly recommend even though it took some time to assemble, not difficult just time consuming.

I bought this bed for my daughter's nursery and currently I sleep on it and once she gets older this will be her bed. I bought 8 inch Lucid memory foam mattress for the top bed and I am sleeping very comfortably (I am 175 lbs). Bed is very sturdy and beautiful. Color as pictured. Easy to assemble with power drill. Would recommend 100%.

I bought this for my sons apartment so I would have a place to sleep when I came to visit. He put it together and said that it could have been easier. The bed recommends 8 inch mattresses. Thats what I bought, the 8 inch was very tight on the trundle part. As a whole, its very comfortable and perfect for our needs.
I didn't want to spend $1600 on the RH version so I went with this! Overall sturdy and really nice!
8inch mattress on top is really the max and 5 inch for trundle.
I have a 12 mattress on this bed, which for the trundle I recommend an 8 and but no higher than a 10 mattress. Ive jumped/pounced on the bed with the mattress on it and it seems pretty sturdy (I weigh 130) and the bed is for my 11 year old daughter. The assembly is doable alone although I did find the long back board piece to be a bit frustrating it was doable with an extra hand. All in all happy with my purchase!
I have to admit, I hired someone to put it together so I can't comment on that, but I can say that its beautiful and soft. I use this as my bed. I bought grey (shaggy and velour) and dark blue velvet decorative pillows for it. It goes well against my dark blue accent wall.
I didn't give it 5 stars only because I'm scared as sin that it will get dirty quickly. Once it was assembled, I drowned it in fabric protector two times. Fingers crossed.
