This is an absolutely beautiful bed. I will say, it arrived with a giant scratch, and the level of effort to try to return/ exchange wasnt worth it (because its big, and because I needed a bed). So, well just live with it. Also, after about a week or so, it has a bit of a squeak. Nothing huge, but were small people and its a size bed so I was surprised.
The scratch is large but its at the foot of the bed, and the blanket mostly covers it. The looks very nice.
Like others, we had damage to the wood. Didnt see it until we moved the box up to the bedroom, just to have to pack it up and bring it back. They were good about refunding and having UPS pick up but note that the quality might not be that great.
We just put this bed together so I have no idea how well it will stand up to normal use yet, but I have to say the packaging and assembly are extremely well thought out. I would have to rate the packaging a good 6 out of 5 stars. The cardboard container arrived with some minor damage, but the product itself had no damage at all. It was well packed in styrofoam. The styrofoam pieces themselves are enclosed in plastic so there is no mess to clean up when youre done with assembly. All the hardware (screws, washers, etc) are shrink wrapped onto a cardboard square so you can see at a glance if all the pieces are there. They even supply a small ratcheted allen wrench which speeds up assembly considerably. I had only some minor problems with two of the pre/drilled holes being just slightly mis/aligned, but with a little stretching I was able to get the screws in. I may be back to add to this review after weve had the bed for awhile, but so far Im impressed.
Update: 7 months in and we noticed a board split. We have a very lightweight mattress (foam) and dont jump on the bed, so this was unfortunate to see. Not sure whom I can even contact for this.
This bed is great! It came earlier than expected, and the quality is aming. I put this together mainly by myself and only needed assistance to line up the sides with the head/foot board. I wish there were matching bedroom pieces (nightstand, dresser) as finding something that matched the chocolate stain was somewhat difficult, but we succeeded with local stores.
This bed is beautiful! I just got it today so I cant comment on longevity. However my husband said it seemed to be good quality. Very happy with this purchase so far!!
Had it for less than a week and it broke in half. Cheap glued together joints. Do not buy. I put it together properly and Im not a incredibly . This thing is just a piece of junk.

Seattle to me on the east coast) but there was no damage to any of the wood. Awesome!
The instructions suggest two people but I put it together by myself. All tools were provided but I opted to use my own Allen wrench. Instructions were easy to follow. Every pre drilled hole was done correctly. Didnt have to make my own. They give you spare screws just in case you need them.
Someone mentioned there is an odor but mine doesnt smell strongly. It has a slight urethane smell but that smells fresh and doesnt bother me.
