This is the third rocking chair for my daughter's nursery (the first two were vintage hand-me-downs), and I can't believe I waited so long to buy one that suits me. Those first two make me appreciate this more, though! The chair is well-balanced and stable, and although it does rock, it isn't loose -- it's very easy to get out of smoothly with a sleeping baby. The arms are low enough for nursing and the back is high enough to lean my head against. It's not an overstuffed chair but the padding is dense and supportive and very comfortable. And it looks great! And the footprint is modest. And the matching ottoman is very nice, too; I'd been using a small vintage footstool, but the generously-sized, well-padded ottoman is much more comfortable. I like the oatmeal-colored, slightly textured fabric, although I wish I'd treated it with Scotchgard before I began using the chair. My only complaint is that the bolts are a little finicky when you're putting it together.
Fantastic chair. Bought this for a nursery and so far it's great (though the baby hasn't arrived yet so I haven't spent more than a few minutes rocking in it). Looks exactly like the picture. Didn't have any problems with cracked wood or bad delivery. It was a bit annoying to put together but much better than the crib or IKEA furniture I've bought. I'm 5'4 and my husband is 6' and we both fit very comfortably in it. Highly recommend.
This chair is made well. The base is heavy and solid. I was surprised that it was made so well at this price point. It blends well with our West Elm and Restoration Hardware furniture at a fraction of the price.
This item arrived with a big red pen mark right in the middle of the seat. The box it arrived in was pretty rough looked like it had been opened then put back together. I dont want to go through the hassle of returning the chair, but I'm upset that the chair is already messed up.
Other than that it is a really attractive chair, the fabric is nice and seems good quality. Its not a soft cushiony chair but its sturdy and comfortable, with a nice high back. It was pretty easy to put together, although the holes for the legs and the base didn't quite line up nicely. I'm hoping it doesn't scoot across the floor.
Comfortable, sturdy, easy to rock and looks really nice. I'm 5'6 and the back is perfect to lay my head back and I reach the floor easily. We have it on wood flooring and it works well.
Love this! It arrived in mint condition, looks sleek and for the price, I think it works quite well. It may not be the most comfortable rocking chair but it certainly is comfortable enough to sit in for a while when you rock your baby.
Bought for nursing wife. It has a high back, is comfortable, looks really sleek, and she likes it. Putting it together I felt that it was quality constructed.
