Instructions always suck when there is no words just pics of the pieces and you put the pieces the same way as in the Instructions but that's not right so you do it again and the wood if you call it that is cheap the pieces that the bolts screw into were pulling through the wood as I was tightening them with the provided tool not a drill and had to screw extra wood so the desk would stop falling off I got the bed first and it didn't smell but the bookcase and the bureau have an awful chemical smell would have returned it but the bed was already in the room don't buy this WAY OVER PRICED FOR WHAT YOU GET
This piece will work if you're not too demanding on the quality. Nothing to compare with IKEA which I previously bought but it didn't work for me. The assembly instruction is poor and led me to a few mistakes I'd rather avoid. Some of the wood pieces are stitched from smaller parts and have knots. Some pieces are barely painted (you can see a wood texture through the thin layer of paint). Some pieces are made from MDF, not wood. Clearly overpriced for that quality but will work for some time.
The step-by-step instructions are pictures only. You must look for the tiniest details constantly (such as super small marks ment for tiny screws). If you didn't catch it from the one black and white picture provided, you will have to take it apart and start over again. Waste of time from people who were too lazy to write tips, hint, and/or notes on their instructions. Don't waste your time or money on this. (Also almost every piece was either scuffed, damaged, or mismanufactured in some way.)
We like this set as it came with desk, bookcase and 3 drawer chest. It came in three boxes and each one had separate hardware and instructions for the different pieces.
I spend about 5 hours total assembling the three pieces and then the bed which connected to each piece.
Very well designed set and I had no issues with assembling. The bed is made in Brazil which is probably the first time I had purchased furniture made in Brazil. I would say the quality is much better and the instructions were well written.
Highly recommend this bed set.
Please please please label the parts. Some are labeled and some are not. Others are labeled but the label is not legible. You have to stare at the instructions for a long period of time to sort of figure out what is going on. Also, I was one screw short on putting together the drawers so I need to run to home depot to purchase one screw...how frustrating is that? But I will build the other components first to see what other hardware is missing before making the trip. These things are not that difficult to build if you just get the details right.

Loose quality and bad assembly instruction

Parts not properly labeled making build much more difficult
