Ok. So once said and done this is a super classy and sturdy bench. I wa surprised that the legs are actually metal and not painted wood so that was a cool surprise. However, NONE of the holes were pre/drilled for the thinner (pointy ended) screws that connect the hinges and legs. It was 4 holes for each hinge and 4 holes for each leg to drill. Because there is some batting even on the under side of the pieces, it was a huge pain to drill as the batting kept twisting a my drill bits. They had at least marked out where the hinges go but it was extremely hard to see at first, especially on the interior of the storage area. I highly recommend two people do the part where you attach the top with the two sets of hinges. It was doable with just me but required some creative maneuvering. The thicker flat ended screws and brackets were really easy to do and everything was pre/drilled for those. Overall for the price Im still pretty happy but Id be a lot happier if the holes had been drilled as the instructions indicated they should have been. If you dont have access to a drill do not order this or youll have a bad time. That said, it would have been relatively easy to assemble with the included hex wrench and a Phillips head screw driver if the holes had been pre/drilled.
It is really pretty but putting it together was awful. It comes in a dozen pieces and the holes are not all predrilled. When I tried to drill the holes the stuffing gets caught on the bit and even broke one of my bits. The legs would not stay on with the screws it came with so I bought better ones. Overall it is nice, but it was a real pain to put together
Very easy to assemble; 9 screw via a provided Allen wrench. I purchased the orange; its just as pictured. A rich burnt orange. It is stable and looks awesome in my entry way. Highly recommend especially for the price!
