Needed a place to kick off/store shoes inside the back door. This was a perfect fit and works great as a bench for putting on shoes on the way out as well. Will easily hold 8 pr of shoes-more if you crowd them. Easy to put together; probably took 45 minutes. Seems sturdy enough. Only gave 4 stars because they should have provided plugs for the screw holes to provide a more finished clean look.
This is an awesome bench. Just as pictured. Seems to be relatively sturdy and has more room in the bottom of it than I originally thought. I have this is my walk in closet and use it to store my winter scarves, hats, gloves, etc....I sit on it to get dressed each morning. Just perfect for my needs.
I like the unit, however I wanted it to be visually obscure, so have put white panels behind the vents in front, so as to draw less attention to the unit. I have hooks above it for jackets, and its right at the front door in a corner, behind the door when you open the door. I gave the cushion away, as it will not be used as a bench for putting on shoes, just a place to store shoes to get them off the floor. I like the unit very much and am satisfied with it.
This bench is a wonderful addition to the house decor, and a very practical one as well. It makes the hallway look clean, well organized. We use one of them to store some board games, the other one for shoes that we wear daily. This bench is comfortable to sit on while putting your shoes on. It feels sturdy too. We get a lot of compliments on these benches. We got two of them, to fit our hallway and that space under the windows. We had a handy man assemble it, but not because of difficulty. It was just one more thing to get done after the move. Great purchase!
Well built for $. However, no screw cap covers are provided for exposed metal screws. Suggest manufacturer spend a few pennies and include with hardware. Had to go buy some at Home Depot. Instructions and markings could be improved.

Nice bench. Using it in my entryway. Kind of expensive but cheaper ones didn’t have as nice of doors.
