Overall I'm really happy with this purchase. The bed is a very simple pine, but it's pretty sturdy. I assembled this by myself (I'm 5 feet tall/ 95 lbs), and it took about 1.5-2 hrs. The directions could have been a little more detailed, but after putting together a few IKEA items in the past I made do with these instructions. I would say that it's good to also have a hammer on hand. I had to use one to get some of the pegs in, but no big deal. Also, I would recommend getting risers if you truly need under bed storage. This is a bit closer to the ground than I thought. But this is a nice, no fuss bed for the price.
This needs some sanding and a finish applied to be a real piece of furniture but for real wood this is a good value.
Had some twisting of the lumber but not enough to prevent assembly or make it wobble. Could be about an inch larger in both directions. The mattress we got is a very tight fit.
I started by ordering just one of the two frames we need and am happily coming back for seconds. With the high cost of lumber right now (nevermind my limited time), I shelved my dreams of building my own bedframes. That these are made of untreated, FSC-certified wood was a big selling point. (I purchased a beeswax furniture polish from The Haply Hive on Etsy as a healthy, smell-good protector.) The design is rather clever and the results are solid. With the mixed reviews, I was a bit nervous until everything arrived swiftly and in good shape. I really appreciate that the packaging was very efficient and eco-friendly. It could be assembled by one person, but was better with two. Was helpful to have a rubber mallet. Definitely pay close attention to what's what, read the other reviews for tips about screw identification, watch the above video a few times, and everything will work out perfectly.
It’s very sturdy but it took over three hours to assemble because some screws just didn’t want to screw in properly. The screw holder things (sorry I don’t know what they’re called) were also difficult to keep in the perfect position while screwing the screw in. It’s great quality and a very nice color, but wasn’t as easy to assemble as I thought it would be.
We purchased two of these beds for our 11 and 12 year old boys. They were easy to put together and all of the items arrived in good condition. We did have an issue with one of the beds, one of the beds had two of the same side posts. I can't remember which side but the footer came with two right or two left posts. It was an easy fix, just resulted in one post not having the same clean finish as the others.
The beds are good but I am concerned about how sturdy they will be. I do not hold out hope for either if the boys ever jump or wrestle around on the bed. But they look nice and will do for now. Would purchase again.

Great no fuss bed for the money

Basic, inexpensive, real wood.

Fine
The finished product was what we wanted but putting together with the poorly labeled directions and tools was a headache
Cheap & good if you don't want to invest more money
Easy to assemble
Efficient, eco-friendly design

Sturdy and as described
Can be irritating to put together
