i love this ottoman/bed. My son has slept on it for two nights in a row. Super soft, easy enough for an 8 year old to put away/take out. no complaints.
We are using this in a bedroom with workout equipment so it folds up nicely when no one is staying in the bedroom and it easily folds out when we need to use it for a bed. It is very firm, so we use a twin mattress pad on top to make it a little more comfy when we make it into a bed.
I was searching for a sofa bed and decided to get one that was easy to assemble. I received my sofa bed earlier this year and I wanted to wait months later after using it to write a review. I love the fabric on this and it easy to clean with a little damp of soap/water. This sofa bed is light to move from one side to next in your bedroom. It is heavy for one person to carry upstairs. I had my oldest brother help me do that. The transformation to lounge chair, to ottman, to bed was easy. The thing I dislike is snapping the bed rest up and flat down. The thing I dislike is when I was unzipping the back of the bed rest, there was sticky and crumbly feeling of something on the black metal rails. I needed to get a flash light and use warm soap water wipe down that part. I decided after that to investigate under the fabric to see what other parts had this problem. Finally, I would give the rate of this product a 10. Advice to customers: I decided to purchase me two extra throw pillows to with the other throw that it came with. This sofa bed is firm to lay on. The pillows will help with making it as comfortable as possible.
It looks fine as an ottoman; unassuming, clean lines, likely will blend with any decor. Still, I wouldve never paid this price for something that functions as an ottoman. I bought it because I needed it to fold out into a bed, so I could sleep on it while Im doing house renovations. Before it came, I had been sleeping on the floor in a sleeping bag. After night 2 on this product, I went back to the floor.
The first night I slept on this fold out ottoman/sleeper I woke up in the morning so stiff and in pain that it took me 15 minutes to get up and off the thing. I gave it the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe I overdid it that day with work. I slept on it a second night and woke up feeling like I got hit by a truck. Im not exactly sure why, it does seem to have a decent amount of firmness to it Im just thinking maybe its not designed with orthopedic comfort in mind.
I was hoping to use this as a extra cot for guest overflow for the holidays, but its so uncomfortable Im going to use it as a punishment for anyone who brings up politics over dinner.
Using as a reading chair and extra bed for company. Only suggestion is if you are going to sleep on it get a extra foam pad for comfort. But other than that I love it. Very well built. Worth the money.
Ive actually been using this in the reclined bed position to sleep on for the last 6 weeks while recovering from a double mastectomy. I got a twin sheet set that fits perfectly. I needed something easy to get in and out of as I have had very limited upper body strength and my bed is too squishy for me to be able to be able to sit from a laying position. This item has been a lifesaver. It can lay all the way flat or adjust in the back light a lawn chair, in 4 or 5 back rest positions. It has very nice durable dark grey fabric with matching pillow. The frame is very sturdy and by lifting the middle cushion you can flip the foot rest and head rest down and convert it to an ottoman. You can also fold down only the bottom and make it a chair or fold the bottom halfway and make it a reclining type chair. It is firm and sturdy but actually quite comfortable. Great piece that will continue to get used daily for years to come! Was on the fence because it looked too hard to sleep on but Im def glad I ordered. Worth the at the sale price of 250. I might not have bought it at the original price, but if you like it you should because you will def get your moneys worth.
ETA: Such little cushioning, not comfortable, can feel the springs when sitting. Cumbersome overall design. Sturdy frame and decent looking, not the easiest to adjust.
Out of the box its pretty easy to unfold it into its various configurations. It was VERY firm to sleep on directly / probably not comfortable as/is / but we bought a single twin memory foam topper, which made it very comfortable. Opened to a flat bed configuration, its just a tiny bit smaller than a regular twin bed an adult fits comfortably, although a tall person might not fit. Fitted sheet fits well especially with the addition on the topper. Top sheet and blanket were a little long at the bottom, so we put clips on the end corners and bungeed the clips underneath to ensure our guest didnt get tangled up in them if getting up in the middle of the night. Because of the design, there is no ability to tuck the bottom of the top sheet and blanket, but the clip and bungee thing worked! Also, there was an issue with keeping the leg at the head of the bed from collapsing with movement of the bed. We overcame this problem with a metal rod or wood would also work, which fit tightly between the leg for the head of the bed and the ottoman leg to prevent any chance of collapse. We purchased this because we wanted the capability of allowing a friend to sleep over, should the need arise, but wanted to use a very small guest room as a craft room and didnt want to fill the room with a standard twin bed which might only be used once or twice a year. With the added topper and the security rod, the ottoman/bed fits the bill. Its easy to convert from ottoman to lounge seat to bed and back with easy/to/follow directions. Once we did it a couple of times, we dont need the directions any more. The gray material looks nice as an ottoman or lounge and the frame is sturdy except for the head of the bed being prone to collapse / that could use something to secure it. Anyway, if youre up for dealing with the 2 issues mentioned head of bed leg and extra firmness of sleeping surface, especially if space is at a premium, this may work for you. It did for us / and our guest.

Exactly what I was looking for!
Really happy with this buy! Easy to open and fold it back. Comfortable, good quality material and firm.
Very nice but very firm
