Budget friendly for sure. This is not an elegant looking but works great for our purposes. We place two twin Tatami mats on the platform, two twin futon mattresses then twin Japanese shiki futon to complete under $1,000. It took me 6 hours to assemble. I am a 64 yearly capable woman and the process was challenging but doable.
It is very sturdy. I like that the and contain the mattress so it doesnt slip off the bed. The is low enough that the mattress we bought is about 2 inches taller so toes dont constantly wack it. My 65 son just fits on the cal king. He loves that he can stretch out now. He likes the modern metal look.
Its getting 4 stars only because the shipping took forever and I got my bed frame past the arrival date. Bed was easy to assemble and is pretty sturdy. Make some noises here and there when you first plop on the bed but besides that no complaints.

Assembly was pretty straight forward. I would recommend using the aircraft mechanic method of starting all fasteners before fighting any of them.
