Color is nice, not real wood, appears to be ply wood and not real wood. Heavy top and bottom pieces are the sturdiest. As pictured, a lot of the vertical pieces came with damage or blemishes. Overall, it will get the job done, just avoid excessive movement.
The piece was a good choice for my space, however, I almost returned it because the huge label was on a side that would show. Without scratching or removing paint, it too forever to get it off. Use mayo to remove, still can see a little outline, but acceptable.
I think the material is solid BUT not sure it is worth the hassle. The first one I ordered came damaged to the point I couldnt put it together. The company is awesome about sending the item back for either a refund or exchange. I liked the set, so decided I would just order a replacement. Well, replacement arrived and still has some damage. Im not sending it back just because I dont want to wait any longer. I dont know if it is the manufacturer or the shipping where they are getting damaged.
I finally got the courage to assemble this table over the weekend and to my surprise it actually didnt take me that long as expected. I placed all parts in order (picture attached) and then started to assemble following the instructions provided. One advantage I had is that I had a drill machine to my help. The table base is very heavy and solid, and there is enough support at the bottom to hold the weight.
One advise / just keep in mind not to tighten the screws too much because that may crack the particle board (its not made of real wood). And yes, my table too came with a crack in part 6. Slightly disappointed, however, the final product came out good and is looking beautiful in my living room
Cute table, and was exactly the size I was looking for. Two good things to know:
1) Antique Red is a BRIGHT red. Like fire/engine red. (Eventually Im going to paint it with a toned/down color).
2) Theres a sticker on the side thats nearly impossible to remove. Invest in some Goo/Gone!
The table was pretty easy to assemple (all I needed was a screwdriver). Admittedly, Im a bit obsessive and did personalize it a bit//I painted the drawer pulls black (almost impossible to find replacement 2 5/8 pulls), and added a runner of sorts to the top (ly kitties like to lie there). Its tricky to find baskets that will fit underneath//I think two 12 x 12 cubes would work very well (the ones I currently have are 10 cube baskets). Once I paint it with a less wowee/zowee red, Ill be very satisfied.
Overall//decent price, solid materials, and easy to assemble. Just be careful if youre ordering the red!
EDIT (6/18/21) / The label is nearly impossible to remove without damaging the surface (see pic). I mistakenly tried using Goo/Gone witb an x/acto knife//now there are all sorts of nicks in the wood. Buyer beware!

Easy assembly and like the look. Not a ton of storage space in the and the bottom shelf cant hold much weight, but perfect for what I was looking for

First console had several broken pieces. A new one arrived two days later and this one is great. Very sturdy and looks great.
