Lots of pieces to put together, but it took about 45 minutes once all of the pieces were layed out. It's a little lighter than the photo, but it will work for what we need. It also doesn't seem super sturdy, but I don't imagine we'll be moving this around a lot, so no real worries there.
After reading numerous reviews of this product, both on and a couple of other competing sites, I decided to go ahead and purchase them since I really liked how they looked and finding nightstands with two drawers under about 200 is apparently difficult. As some other people mentioned, there was an issue with one of the cam bolts where the hole was drilled to a slightly different depth. I did eventually get it to work and it wasn't a huge deal.
I love the way that they look and they came in perfect condition with no marks or anything that I would feel the need to return the item. They look great as nightstands and are the perfect height and size for what I wanted.
We purchased two of the night stands and are quite happy with them. They are a bit larger and lower than I expected, but are the perfect size for our bedroom. We have large lamps setting on them and there is still plenty of room for a clock, cup of tea, and small book. They look nice and match our IKEA bookcases as well.
I'm digging it. There was a chip or two on one of the pieces, but nothing to weep about. Putting it together was easy and it's relatively sturdy. It does what I need it to do and fits the corner of my living room perfectly.
I ordered two tables prior to the reviews where the cam bolt system do not lock correctly, mine did not lock at all and very frustrating as it's the key to the stability of the night stand. I contacted Altra and they are sending me new cam locks so hopefully that will resolve the issue, but I am slightly doubtful. The drawers went together pretty easily. The quality is about what I expected for the price I paid so I am fine with the minor wood imperfections - mostly in the back or where parts go together.
My advice to the company is to figure out an alternative to the cam locks!
These are perfectly simple but yet elegant looking. The construction quality and paint finish are both very good. Definitely recommend. Shipping was fast and they were relatively easy to put together.
