This a great bed and feels comfortable for my child. It does stink for about 12/24 hours / I opened a window and aired out the room the first day. Great Pottery/Barn type piece for less money, but I will say Pottery Barn pieces never stink like chemicals. However, Im giving it four stars because it resolved quickly.
Fits perfect under the same brand full bed I purchased. I am using a 7 inch mattress and a bunkie board under. It is a little tight, but still closes nicely. Perfect for guests and sleepovers.
I did SO much research before committing to these beds. Heres why I ended up buying these and loving them.
/Super sturdy design: When we built them, I had my husband (a GIANT) bounce around on top and bottom bunks. Not so much as one creak.
/ Beautiful color: We got the espresso. Very rich looking.
/Detachable ladder: love that our litte one cant clamber up to the top unsupervised in the middle of the night. The ladder also slides on and off really well, as it has a soft lining that protects the wood underneath.
Hardware: the kit gives you stickers to cover the hardware, but the oil rubbed bronze hardware was too cool to cover. Its not super glaring, but the uncovered hardware goves the beds a cool, industrial vibe.
/Transitional design: I love that down the road, we could easily turn these into two twin size beds.
Tips: This for sure needs a lower mattress profile. We got foam mattresses, which work well for me and our kiddo, but my husband can feel the bed slats through them, so if heavier people are laying on them, youll want a low profile mattress that also has enough cushion to keep the slats from being noticeable.
This bunk bed is beautiful and solid. Delivery was nice and professional. My daughters love it! Only missing one star because the directions came with pictures only. Would have been nice to have some written instructions. Other than that, we figured it out and got it together with no problems. Love how this bed is real wood and it is very sturdy. My husband who weighs 245lbs, tested the top bunk. We are very impressed with this bed and we know it will last us a long time.
Great quality for price. Clean lines and solid construction. Bed came in perfect condition and faster than expected. Took about hour to assemble. Few of the directions werent too clear and had to predrill holes for bracket, but all good.
The instructions and drawings almost made it fun for me and my wife to assemble. We plan to use it for when our grandson visits. I am the least handy person I know but the well thought out and well marked pieces were easy to assemble ( less than an hour). The materials are good quality and we expect him to use it until he reaches about 62, about 14 years from now.
Delivery was a snap. The bunk bed came in a single box, which was strapped to a double/long pallet, so no damage at all to the box, or the bed. Yay!
Fastener hardware isnt labeled, but the instructions are surprisingly good. Not the best Ive seen, but close. Overall, assembly was a BREEZE, and went MUCH faster than I expected. Overall, it took about five hours, but that also included a trip to the store to buy two mattresses, Id say around 2/2.5 hours of actual assembly and an hour of unpacking before, reading instructions, and cleanup after. I used ball/end hex drivers on a cordless drill to speed up the fasteners.
The beds are sturdy, solid, and pretty. There is a small amount of smell from the paint, but its going away quickly. All in all, theres nothing to find fault with. Theyre not the cheapest, but they sure are good!

Well made
Nice paint job, only 1 hour to build, solid construction. We bought two and they are excellent.
Very sturdy, beautiful bed.

High Quality!
Very easy to assemble and packaged. However, after having for a year now it scratches and nicks very very easily.
