I bought this bed for my son, so fortunately it doesnt bother him as much as it bothers me, but the top mattress hangs off off the bed. You cant push it flush against the headboard.
Double check the headboard during assembly we got it backwards at first. Very sturdy especially for plus size people ! Very high quality materials as well!
There is only 10 between the bottom of the headboard and the slates where you put the box spring. Not enough room for a box spring and a good mattress. As you can see in the pictures, it looks terrible and leaves me in a spot of trying to figure out what to do. 10 is just not enough room for a box spring and mattress.

Wont hold up
The bed frame broke after owning it for little more than a year.
