Easy to assemble, easier with a second person. Sturdy enough for kids, so long as theyre not jumping or goofing around. There is enough space between the bottom and the top so that the person on the bottom can actually sit up comfortably without hitting their head on the top bunk. I sat on the bottom and tried this, and I sat fully upright. This is the reason I bought these beds.
So we ordered this bunk bed in black. We have a very small cabin and didnt have space in my kids room for 2 twins, so we needed a bunk bed that was low and didnt hit the wood beams on our ceiling since the ceiling is rather low.
Honestly, I think this bed is quite worth the money. Its super affordable. Only 54 tall, so it fit perfectly in their room which I was nervous about even after taking measurements. Once put together, its pretty sturdy. I got up on the top bunk to test it out and felt safe. My boys absolutely love it.
My only complaint is that a lot of the parts were labeled wrong, which sent my husband and I down a 2 hour spiral of trying to figure out which piece went where. It was a bit hectic and we agreed that were not looking forward to having to take it apart and put it back together in the future when we move.
Other than that, Id buy it again. I looked at several similar bunk beds and Im glad I purchased this one. I feel like I got a lot of bang for my buck.
The bunk bed is exactly what we expected. I would say the bars on the ladder are very small and might hurt peoples feet while climbing. However the top bed is only about 5 feet so it wont hurt long. Looking into something to wrap then.
Perfect for what I needed it for. I have a 2 and a 6 year old. I wanted it close to the ground so if the toddler rolls out of bed it wouldnt be harmful. Bottom bunk is practically on the floor. You will hit your head and back if you try to hit on it then get up lol perfect for my 6 year old too because he can jump for the top of the ladder and not get hurt. Top bunk doesnt touch the ceiling.
HOWEVER, it took A LONG TIME to build! Very frustrating. Lots of little pieces to put together and not always easy to do. But it is very sturdy.
A few times a year we have MASSIVE gatherings for holidays and decided to convert our unused finished basement into a bunkroom for guests. We quickly figured out that after putting couples into the guest rooms upstairs for privacy we were usually putting single person parties down into the bunkroom and we wanted to upgrade accommodations from air mattresses to beds, and twins were more cost and space efficient than queens so doing bunks just made sense. I ordered two of these, both in black, twin over twin. The boxes were both beat up when they arrived but the pieces inside were 100 untouched. I dont understand the complaints about assembly because i put both of these together by myself in less than 2 hours with ease/ i would recommend using a power drill with a hex attachment if you have it to make life super easy. I bought an additional hook on ladder for the second bunk but i may still wind up using the included ladder because it feels like it adds to the overall stability of the beds. Frames are lightweight enough to move with ease but heavy enough to be sturdy. I purchased 6 bamboo gel mattresses to luxe up the simplicity of the frames. This took my bunkroom from sleeping 5 to sleeping 8 so overall Im pleased. The low profile is fantastic for lower ceilings but you dont feel like the top bunk is crushing the bottom bunk. These will only get used a few times a year but Im hoping to get good longevity out of them.

Plenty of space on bottom bunk

Worth the money
Very sturdy. No wobble like some bunkers we had in the past.
Would definitely buy again

Good for the space
