Yes this sofa sets lower to the ground then some, but thats why I bought it. I needed a bench at the end of my tall king bed. I have a small dog and she was jumping off the tall bed and causing herself pain. I chose this instead of a bench because its low to the ground, has a deep seat for the dog to jump down off the bed and the back of the sofa gives Rosie another place to jump up onto the bed. She jumps onto the seat, then onto the back of the sofa, then she jumps on the bed. If you have a small dog they will love this loveseat. It helps keep her knees healthy.
The back is a lot shorter than I thought it would be. I bought two chairs to go with it, and the high back chairs look strange with the short back. Overall, it is stunning though.
It is a beautiful chair. I love the design and Im keeping it for that reason. It is not comfortable, namely the backrest which is like sitting up against a board.

This is a perfect couch for my daughters room. The velvet feels soft and it looks great. You can probably buy replacement feat for it to make it taller. Its not the most comfortable couch, but its still nice to sit on. I wouldnt buy it for the main couch that you use, but something to be used occasionally like in a bedroom or another room where its not sat on as the main sitting area would be perfect. Id say it was worth the money and seems to be good quality.
Its firm like everyone says, but it looks aming. Its also very large so heads up if you are looking to add this to a small space. Im 6 feet tall and can lay on it without touching either side (they make a smaller version if needed). Another note, it takes FOREVER to ship and get delivered. Do not order this if you are in a time crunch. Also make sure you plan help to bring the couch in as it is a couch and its heavy. Happy with the build quality, I would note that it sits pretty high so if youre under 59 your feet will probably dangle. Mid/centch baby!

Hard as a rock
Although sturdy and well made, and very easy to assemble, it is so uncomfortable to sit on.
