Overall love it , My 6yr son loves it his personal bunk bed . Its sturdy /Space saving able to put other Nic nacs under the bed. I would say its easy to Assemble however I assembled it by myself, 2 people would be ideal and I was missing the correct slack to attach the latter so after I take that off Ill put the replacement on.
I started on other websites and saw this bed there. A quick Google image search brought me to and I saw that it was cheaper here. So, why not buy from the place that I buy everything else from anyway? Im glad I did. the delivery process went SO smoothly! Aside from the never/ending unpacking, setup was quick and painless. I thought that choosing black for my daughters room was such a cop/out (to get it cheaper), but it actually made it easier to match curtain rods with it! Bought black ones and they arent even noticeable once the curtains were on.
One thing though. My daughter is scared of heights and hates being uncomfortable. So, be sure to reassure your sleeper that even though the ladder may be uncomfortable on their feet at first, theyll quickly get used to it if they climb up and down more. Its true too! And as for heights. I made sure I was there to point out where to place her hands and feet and in what order. She so wanted a bunk bed, and the fun outweighed the uncomfortable start.
Some of the poles didnt fit like the side rails and one the one bed (I ordered 2), some of the holes were actually missing so could not screw in screws.

A basic mattress seems to big for this frame. The side rails are not much for safety as the mattress is just as tall as the safety rail.
