Love the look and feel of this couch. Setup was pretty straight forward. Only thing that feels off are the legs... Not the most clearance for a drill to drive the screws in unless you have a longer bit. But that just nitpicking. Great final product and i personally had a great experience with its shipping and arrival. Came in about a week before it was due to arrive! A
I wanted a cheaper couch that looked good but also had additional space/room for stretching out. This couch was perfect. It's big, it's roomy, it's good quality material and it feels great to sit or lay on. I highly recommend it, I'm thrilled with the purchase because, again, it was a very good price and didn't skimp on quality one bit.
The pull-out bed/ottoman works really well, and looks and performs as one continuous unit with the rest of the couch. I was worried it would just be a floating ottoman that would easily drift away from the main couch unit any time you laid on it, but the built in ottoman rails, rolling ottoman wheels and sturdy fold-out construction ensures it stays completely attached and rigidly in place. Having said this however, if you wish to separate the ottoman from the couch, you can unhook the rails from the ottoman and main couch, and make it a floating ottoman if you so desire (it's similar to how you slide/unhook a desk drawer out of a desk, just larger). The process of pulling out the ottoman from it's tucked position (and leaving it still hooked on the rails) is super simple.
The material cleans easy, the fold-up headrest are nice and adds a touch of customization if you move some up and others down, it doesn't make noises when you sit on it, and its very comfortable (but firm, it's not a sink-in couch).
The carrier didn't call ahead to schedule delivery, but luckily I was home when the driver knocked on the door. The couch was shipped in 2 separate pieces (1 piece couch, 1 piece ottoman) all shrink wrapped to 1 pallet. The driver rolled the 6 foot high pallet into my garage, and it was easy to break down the packaging to get to the individual pieces.
The installation was (for me) the longest part. It wasn't difficult to assemble, but it certainly wasn't quick. It took me a few hours to get it done start to finish. The people that say it only takes 15 minutes to assemble either got a couch that was more assembled than mine or are extremely skilled carpenters. The couch itself is in one piece, and the chaise is another piece (so no you don't have to assemble either of those pieces). Required assembly includes inserting the headrests into the couch/chaise, assembling the rail system and rolling wheels onto the center piece/ottoman, and screwing each of the legs onto the bottom of the couch. My couch legs had no pre-drilled holes/brackets on the bottom of the couch like others also mentioned, but it wasn't hard to screw the legs directly into the bottom of the couch/chaise wood frame, it just takes some more time to line them all up and screw in 4 screws for each of the 8 legs.
Lastly, the instructions, tools and screws are all included INSIDE of the BOTTOM of the couch, in a zippered section. Just unzip it and you'll see the pouch and headrests. I couldn't find mine until I read other people's reviews mentioning this.
Overall, great couch, really happy, great value for the money, very comfortable, great to stretch out on, plenty of room, high quality, easy to clean. Very unique bed feature. I leave my center ottoman permanently out. Enjoy.
It's not as comfortable but looks good. If you need visitors to leave soon, then you might need to buy this. If you are not mechanically inclined like me, it's a challenge to figure out how the sleeper piece is assembled. The instructions could have been more detailed and more helpful.
Love the couch. When it got delivered I was lucky enough to have a delivery man nice enough to try and call and tell his company that my neighborhood wasn't the safest place to leave stuff outside. I walked outside and let him know that he was delivering it to me and he was kind enough to help me get it in my house. So be prepared to not have help. It came in two pieces. I finally got to putting it together it came packed nicely. Nothing was damaged from the looks of it. Took me some time to put together since it was me and didn't have a electric drill to drill the screws in. Had to do it with a regular screw driver but it got completed. I love how it looks my kids do as well. Only thing I can complain about is the sleeper. It is hard for me to pull out. Idk if over time it will get easier or not even have a hard time pushing it back in. I tend to have to get daughter to lift up just a tad bit in the end of the couch so I can pull it out with ease. It's like the cushion that is the sleeper is a lil to high to slide under or the couch is just a lil to low. I'm not sure but we manage to get it to work. The only other complaint beside that is that it's a single stitched couch. I would think for the money u spend on it it would've been doubled stitched. So I just hope that it holds up for a while. It is also a lil firm. When someone sleeps on it. I tend to have a blanket down and egg crate foam with a cover over that so no complaints with sleeping on it.
Great couch.
Didnt give 5 stars simply because the cushions dont come off. I would like that.
Comfortable to sit on. Comes with all the tools needed for assembling. I would reccomend a drill or ratchet screwdriver for the screws as the one provided will cramp you up (I already had a ratchet screw driver). Assembly took about 45 min solo, so its completely doable.
Side note: company that shipped it was great at communication, but their delivery policies are terrible. They were going to charge me $200 extra to deliver inside my door. Delivery guy cut me some slack, and got the 280lbs on my porch with my help.
The couch looks beautiful. So far no tears or scraps. Feet are sturdy. It isnt too hard to assemble with a couple good tools. The only problem with the couch is that all the head supports and arm rests are constructed with a firm cardboard so if ANYONE leans on it they crack and break. The only reasons I didnt return is because you cant tell they are broke unless you lean on the broke place and because I wont get a couch like this for the price. I do think it should have been mentioned how much weight can be placed on supports. If they wouldve, I would've given 4 stars.
Perfect for the kid's playroom. Thought it was missea some pieces like the headrest and legs, but they we're just stored nicely within the sofa. Thanks to customer service for answering my question.
This a good couch. Definitely should have been a little cheaper tho. The delivery guys dropped it outside on the street by my 15 story apartment complex. no phone call nothing so that was off to a bad start. As i opened the couch I came to find that there was mold on one of the sectionals. why would a brand new expensive couch have mold? Assembled easily and looks nice minus the mold i wiped off.
