Great product! Price dosent match the great quality. Sturdy and quiet. Im 6 and 230lbs,this bed does not make 1 squeak. Assembly was easy, maybe a 1/2 hr worth of time. I bought this along with the trundle twin size for my daughter who is 4. Perfect for people with a child, who are in a 1 bedroom apartment. You wont be disappointed.
I purchased this bed in a twin xl. I reviewed the assembly video prior to purchasing. The bed was easy to assemble, no problems. It does help if you have an extra set of hands, but I assembled it by myself. Also, Im utilizing the bed as a day bed in the living room. The mattress I have is about 14 inches thick. The original height of the frame is 15 inches. This made it too high to utilize in the living room area. I cut all 4 legs down to the height I needed. The bed/seating area is just right now. My only suggestion about the product is giving customers an option on the height or providing standard legs and smaller legs to accommodate a thick mattress. Also, the slats bang around a little bit when you move around on the bed. I would suggest maybe adding some small screws to all of the slats. Two of the slats are supplied with screws and are predrilled. The poplar boards can be stained or left natural. I may stain the frame with a dark danish oil.
Both photos I have included are from after I cut down the legs from the original 15 inch height. The height I ended up with after modification is approximately 24 inches.
This frame is pretty much exactly what I was looking for: solid wood, , affordable, and great quality. Im so tired buying low quality frames that dont support the mattresses properly and/or cause backaches because of inferior slats/support. Ive included a comparison photo of the width ofFrame slats absolutely dwarfing Zinus slats that are often found on platform bed frames. The quality of the frame is just above and beyond. The slats are so thick and closely spaced that my mattress finally feels properly supported.
Assembly was easy and straightforward. I did have an issue where two of the pilot holes didnt seem deep enough, but no biggie.
I left the wood unfinished. I think it looks great and theres no smell (other that a faint lumberyard smell that dissipated in a day or so). Some of the slats have cool looking purple and black streaks but all the visible wood is a nice even color.
The height is around 14-15 (the under bed clearance is about 11.5 inches—great for storage) but my mattress is about 12 inches so its pretty high set up. But I learned that they sell 12 and 18 height legs on theFrames website for around $30.
I also love the lack of center leg underneath so under bed storage is awesome.
No squeaking/noise at all! Over all, very satisfied with this purchase and debating buying more.
Will update if anything changes!
So glad I got these bed frames. High quality ALL WOOD components, simple, clean lines, excellent instructions.
Many other bed frames in this price range rely on a fifth or even sixth leg to support the center of the bed. Those extra legs look kinda cheesy, make under-bed storage more difficult, and call into question the design/engineering of the product.
I love that this frame (Queen size) has two center rails as well as the two side rails. This means that each slat only needs to span half the beds width. And the slats themselves are super sturdy and beefy.
The poplar wood itself is very smooth, with very little noticeable grain. Very easy to stain or paint, or seal. But it looks just fine as is.
Mattress stays in place on the slats, too. Very satisfied customer.
Bed frame easy to assemble with good instructions. Able to do myself with my sister holdings to balance head and foot of bed for about 5 minutes. Bed very sturdy and perfect for my needs.
Easy to assemble, looks very nice, no squeaking when child jumps on the bed. Up off the floor you could store stuff under. I looked for months and found this one. I didnt want a bar in the middle where you could stub your toes when getting in the bed.
Easy to put together and great for hiding our extra trundle bed! Super sturdy! We have a matress and box spring on it to make the bed high off the ground but you really only need a mattress!

Surprisingly easy assembly.
I got the extra long to go over the trundle, but the regular one would have fit too. I really like both.
