    So far so good

Put this bed together today and it looks great! Throw out the instructions and go on your own. Youll be happier and less frustrated. After reading reviews, we put both sets of slats on the main bed (we arent planning to use the trundle bed right away). There are only 7 slats for each bed. Pottery Barn beds have 18! We couldnt risk a saggy mattress. One leg was short so we had to put some furniture sliders under it so it didnt sit on top of the trundle side. Hopefully itll hold up ok. Ill come back and update if I have any issues.

    Love this bed.

Very sturdy. I love the end storage. No one has slept in the trundle bet yet. It doesnt shake. Very solid. Got it for my grandson to sleep on top bunk and his parents on the bottom when home for a visit. It DOES take a good 4 hours to put together. Needs 2 people with patience, and an agreement in advance, to not kill each other. Its marked very well , part A B C and so on, however there are ALOT OF PIECES. You will need a big area to put it together in and a drill with bits and some screwdrivers.

Good product helped us to create zones in the room.

Good product helped us to create zones in the room. We use it for a teenager and a young person. We put some plywood in the top bunk before we the mattress on. My girls love it.

Installation has no written instructions, only drawings and drawings are NOT to scale.

Bed comes in one long box, and is super heavy. Assembly instructions are minimal, they are drawings only and are not to scale so its difficult sometimes to determine which bolt they are referring to. Once assembled, bed is great! My 2 year old loves it. Bed is sturdy. My husband and I have both slept on it with our toddler (separately) and it has held up nice. For the captains bed, you want to make sure that you dont get a mattress thats too tall, as it wont close. The captains/trundle bed is on wheels and if on hardwood, it will easily roll out from under if your toddler steps on it. But simple solution, place a rug down and its great. I appreciate details like the bolts are painted to match the blue wood. Overall, its a great bed for the price and has the ability to grow with my toddler for a number of years, just be cautious about how annoying assembly is.

    Decent bed

This bed will work while my three girls are young and can all share a room. Our other rooms are in the basement and they arent ready for that. The trundle bed roles easily. I like the protection of the sidings on the top bunk. Im not worried about my littlest one falling out. The only complaint is the bed is very squeaky when they move around and adjust their sleeping position. It also gives us a forewarning when they are getting out of bed to come see us cuz we can hear it happening. Besides what is mostly a minor issue with the sound Im happy with this purchase.

    Great product!

Great quality and very sturdy! The instructions are a little off but nothing you cant figure out and fix. I used a 10 inch matress on top and an 8in for the bottom and it fits perfectly.

    Not really kid proof.

To be fair, the bed is exactly as described and pictured, its just not very durable. The wood is very soft and side rails on the top bunk and stairs are flimsy. The finish already had a rip in it when we opened the package. Not a big deal. The beds are okay, just okay.

    Nice looking bed

Very confusing to put together. I had to switch the upright supports a few times and it still isnt right: the pictures dont help. Words are needed!
