Awesome, easy to manipulate, sofa becomes queen bed! Yay

When I saw the box outside my door I was kind of dreading opening it as Ive tried to find a solution for our situation for a while and have returned large products….. The SOLUTION has arrived. For 12 months I have a 1 bedroom apartment with my daughter while I figure out our next move… I want her to feel she has her own space so the bedroom is hers entirely. While our sofa ( brand) is very comfortable it is still a sofa and a year of sleeping on it… Blech. With this ottoman that serves multiples purposes fits our little space perfectly. The joy I had when I opened it up and without using a manual it was so easy to figure out. Going from ottoman to longer and then to bed takes less then a minute and could likely be done by one hand or my kiddo… Life is exhausting right now and I thank this company for adding some joy!! And ease!! The color… after it shipped I started thinking I would regret my choice! It looks even better then the picture… love this product!

Just as described but a couple of issues

The ottoman looks great, is heavy with a substantial metal support structure but….1) There is no locking mechanism on the metal u shaped bars that supports the front and rear thirds of the bed so any movement can cause either end of the bed to collapse down to the floor. It happened the first time laying on it. The middle third of the unit has solid support. I have been unable to find the right size hinge or anything to prevent the ocasional end support bars from collapsing. 2) the ottoman metal square supports (legs) have the tiniest plastic floor protectors and 2 were missing causing horrible floor scratches. Have to contact company as the round plastic attaches and are not a standard item you can buy. 3) one metal support must be a bit longer or uneven because even with the plastic floor protector in place it made a horrible scratch moving the ottoman. The ottoman is heavy enough that it did not move from sitting on it, the problem was when closing the bed and moving unit back into position for non use. The ottoman looks good, it is firm for sleeping,; I slept on it for a week and was comfortable. But the floor scratches (almost gouges in the wood) are intolerable and must be resolved before using the ottoman again as well as having to repair my floor. It is the best sleeper I found and it is a shame that it has these tiny flaws.

    versatile

Using this in my guest room as a chair/ottoman and extra bed. Nice size bed, firm to sit on. delivery was quick, too.

    Repeated collapse with no warning

I've only seen one other person mention this, but there's no locking mechanism for the support legs when you turn it into a bed. So if you sit on one of the ends, or turn over in your sleep, one or both ends collapse with no warning, dumping you on the floor. I've tried tightening everything up, but it made no difference. I've come up with a potential solution of putting a rubber bath mat under the leg part, and then also using a door stop to keep the leg part open (the door stop by itself wasn't enough, but on the no slip surface it seems okay). The problem now is that I can't bring myself to offer this as a bed to any guests because I don't trust that it won't still collapse. If this were a $100 experiment, I wouldn't mind finding ways to make it work, but for $400, I really resent having to figure out how to make this safe. As just an ottoman, it's nice. I use it against the wall with the pillow as extra seating in my office, and for that it's great. For guests, we gave up on this and actually went with an folding metal bed frame and put an ikea foam mattress on it. The frame folds completely flat, and the frame and mattress both fit under a regular bed. (If anyone knows a good way to keep the from collapsing. Please let us know! Thanks!

    Very Firm

I love the look of this ottoman! The fabric is a little rough on the skin and it is REALLY firm. I would like it better if it was a lot softer of a cushion. I haven't used it as a bed yet but I would imagine it is just as firm/hard.

Well build, comfortable and worth the price.

    versatile.

good size to use as a coffee table/ottoman and versatile design to use as a bed. I like to put my feet on the ottoman. It's little hard to sleep on.

    very comfortable bed / lounge

Easy to unpack and set up - you just lift up the top and the other sections fold out and you're all set. Very comfortable both as a bed and as a lounge area. I have a new secret lounge area for reading, napping, watching TV, gabbing on the phone. I love it!
