Took about 3 hours with my husband putting it together. Not difficult at all with a drill to make it faster. Gorgeous wood， very sturdy and our girls absolutely love!!it. Highly recommended.
This is a sturdy and attractive bunk bed. And it totally thrilled my 6 and 4 year olds for Christmas Four stars instead of five because it took three construction-savvy guys about 5 hours to build this thing， and also because after two weeks of bare feet stepping up and down， the finish is already chipping off of the bottom step. I have to think it mustve gotten bumped by something else to be chipping like!!that so soon... But other than that， it is a very safe bunk bed that fits just right in our limited square footage. Extra bonus I didnt realize when I ordered it is that each step has a grip strip to add footing security for little ones. One last thought is to keep in mind that the bottom drawer will only open if the bed is situated on a smooth floor， not on a rug or carpet with even a medium pile.

This bunk bed is a pain in the butt to assemble， even with two people. Going through all the hardware pieces we noticed there were not enough of some of the fasteners and many of them were damaged. Luckily， our local hardware store had what we needed. I did send an e-mail to the seller and received a reply the next day offering to send replacement pieces. Unfortunately， we could not wait as we had already spent 8 hours assembling the bed and our children had nowhere else to sleep.
Its a good， sturdy piece of furniture but be prepared to spend ALL DAMN DAY putting it together along with at least one trip to the hardware store.
All solid wood， amazing SAFE design， quality bolts hardware， clear instructions. I could not be any happier. This bed looks and feels like!!it should cost more than twice what I paid. The steps have grooves for safety as well as a rough sandpaper type strip so the kids wont have any problems with the larger-than-typical steps. My 4 6 yr olds go up and down， up and down constantly with no problem..

Wow this is a big bed and it takes up a lot of room. but it also creates a lot of storage and makes children very happy. If your space is tight and this will replace several pieces of furniture. It takes two people to put this together mostly because of the size.
This bed comes with railing completely around the top bunk which helps to prevent the child from falling. This was important to us as the child on the top does tend to sleep on the edge of the bed. Now she sleeps more in toward the center but often she is up against the railing and we are grateful to have it there. The steps are big and the drawers are same size as the step and provide ample storage. There is a book nook under the steps and the lower bed is high enough from the ground that you also have storage room under the bed.
The bed wasnt overly complicated to assemble. It arrived within a few days in three boxes. There are a LOT of pieces. The instructions could have been clearer but you just had to stop and think about what you were doing. If you rush through putting this together you will make a mistake. But take your time and read the directions. Otherwise， the bed wasnt too difficult. It came with everything you need to put it together except the tools.
This bed IS solid wood and extremely sturdy. The only concern is the slats seem rather thin and a few did have knots in them. But our children are both under 50 pounds， so we arent concerned yet， besides there are so many slats that Im not worried.
The children love!!this bed. They think the drawers are awesome. The steps stretch the imagination as they transition from the stage to a mountain side to tree limbs and many other things. This bed set is pretty awesome. The kids love!!it and the adults are very happy with these beds.
Overall this is a valued purchase. If I had a chance to choose again this would still be the bed set that we would purchases.
