Its a nice shelf and we do enjoy it , other then the Xbox we put on top bc in the cubby hole made the system run to hot, but other then that its a great purchase
The stand looks nice but thats it. Putting it together was a hassle, since the installations were so poor. The stand is wobbly and does not feel sturdy enough to move often. Luckily I mounted my TV and using this more for looks than build quality. Just look for something similar and you will be much happier. Also use power tools when building as I gave myself a blister building this with just a screwdriver.
read a lot of bad reviews so was scared, but it turned out to be extremely amazing and my favorite piece of furniture i own. the truck is wood glue and taking your time. also common sense
We picked the OB finish, which, on the pictures looks like natural maple. In person, the wood finish looks rather differen, it has a slightly greenish, unnatural tint. Looks nothing like the picture, very obviously fake wood.
The middle (the drawers ) are black on this variant, and the black looks OK. It is a high-gloss, piano black finish. We decided to return this after taking one look at the greenish tint fake wood look.
Unfoertunately, there is no way to see this from the pictures.
Another thing, the depth and width of the equipment storage slots is kinda small. I have a full size receiver, it needs 7 hgt. so it does not look like it will fit into any of the cubbies provided, the only thing that would work is putting it on the top. So: make sure to check your equipment dimensions vs. the shelf space.
Update: accepted the return, and the seller provided a refund w/o return within the 5 day window. Kudos to the seller!
so I have this up now looks great Im just concerned about how much its actually going to hold up. its held on the wall with 4 screws through the middle of 2 of the back boards on either side. would be nice if there were a couple of brackets in the middle or under the bottom somehow. so far no problems but just concerning if someone wants to look at the cabinets and put a bunch of stuff on top also.
