After reading the reviews I was afraid what I will get. However, after delivery I was positively surprised. The main thing is that you follow the clear enough assembly instructions carefully and especially tighten the fixing nuts well. The final result will be sturdy and nice looking TV stand which is really value for money.
If the idea is to use just one opening for equipment as pictures show and just storage for other items then this will work ok. The biggest problems are as follows:
1) The shelf needs to be deeper as the units described below will not set completely back due to wiring.
2) At least one more separate opening needs to be initially made in the bottom by the manufacture on
one end or the other.
3) The electrical cord provided for the outlets is way too long unless you intend to place the shelf a long
way from an outlet which makes it hard to hide that cord.
4) The electrical connection unit provided allows for only 4 outlets. The television will use one of them.
Using satellite equipment such as a DVR, a disc or VHS tape player/recorder, internet connection, and an enhanced sound system makes the ability to hide wires to and from the television not easy.
The center box has the only closed back so the unit can be mounted floating. It would be easier to hide the wires if the predrilled large opening holes in the vertical pieces were done at the bottom of the piece rather than the top. The wires would be easily hidden behind the various equipment mentioned. as long as the shelf unit is deeper as suggested. Using an enhanced sound system may require an additional opening on one end if you have a wired bass unit that has to set somewhere away from the amplifier. Maybe there are enhanced sound systems today that will work remotely without wired connections to small speakers and the bass unit. Electrical adapters on some units to control voltage and/or amperage can also present a problem in hiding them. Lastly the lighter color unit pictured is not as light as shown. The idea behind this type of shelf is good but needs more versatility.
Beautiful quality, it fits very well under our 75in TV. The wood does chip easily while putting it togther but it isnt noticeable at all. The ONLY thing I dont like is how there isnt any backing for the big part of the shelf like the 2 smaller shelfs on the left and right of it. Im going to paint a peice of cardboard and stick behind it and see if it looks a little better. Otherwise it is very nice!
Easy to assemble and looks good. For the negative reviews. I believe they didnt put plastic pieces with screws in their hole flush and screw in the screw which makes it stay tight and stay in place. Once their all in their hole/place and tightend, assemble the stand. If you just put the plastic pieces with the screw in the hole without tightening , your stand will be wobbly. Hope this helps....
This was for my daughters room to hold her gaming system and it holds that and much more! She put some books and decor. She loves it. It was super easy to put together and hang! We will be hiding the tv cords soon and the look will be complete! 5 stars!

Hidden doesnt necessarily hidden

Great shelf!
Great shelf. Heavy duty. Nice color
We had to use other hardware we had at home to reinforce it.

How to assemble white plastic anchor with screw properly

Great little TV stand.
Great price for a solid little TV stand.
Good for basic setup
I like the basic look, I wish it had a false backing to hide all the wires....it works, delivered with NO damage..worth the $100+
looks great!
Its great for the value but the mounting was quite difficult because the screws hole arent matched with wall studs.
Great quality, sturdy, and looks amazing!
