We needed a bunk for our cottage. It is in the same room as a queen bed, so we wanted to coordinate looks.
I didnt want it to overwhelm the room with our clipped ceilings.
AND I wanted to be able to make the bed with out having Cirque Du Soliel pulleys hoisting me up.
This low bunk does the trick. I centered it on the window wall rather than in a corner. So much easier to make a bunk bed.
This does not have as much space between the bunks as I would like. But its better than others. Even the 7 year old can not sit up straight in the bottom bunk.
But I used the 8+ in twin mattress we had from before. If I bought one, Id go with a 6 or possibly 5 in mattress for more head room. But its fine. It works for people with little ones - they wont get hurt if they roll out of bed.
ASSEMBLY: You need 2 people, and you need to look at the picture instructions VERY closely to make sure you have left vs right side, inside vs outside, etc.
If you do that, the holes line up perfectly.
We used the Allen wrench that came with the set. Thats all we needed.
It took us several hours, but it has a nice solid feel.
There are less expensive versions of low bunks. I wanted at least 30-36 in of headroom. And I wanted to be able to assemble it with the least amount of drama, trauma and swear words.
Its worth the extra money.
This bed was easy to assemble and the low height was just what we were looking for. Our 7 year old loves it. The grey color is perfect. We did purchase bunkie boards off as suggested by the company. The boards went on top of the slats and so far (2 months in) weve had no issues. Everything is sturdy and perfect for our needs.
So where do I start; this is a product that is better in theory or a better product in general. I havent had this bed for more the. Six months and the railing on the third bunk (very top) has already fell apart completely. The wood or fake wood that is used isnt made to with stand kids. Its otherwise super cute especially when you need space for all you kiddos.
Absolutely love!!!!! Its pretty simple to put together if youve put together any bunk bed before. Its extremely sturdy. I have 6 kiddos (3 being boys) and its the only bunk bed Ive owned that has stayed sturdy. Its very compact but, you dont lose sleeping space. My son loves the bottom bunk. He calls it his man cave
Im about to get another one for my other kiddos
For the most part its not bad for the price but I just wish the planks holding the beds and the edges for the planks to rest on were thicker. I dont like seeing the boards bend when my son gets on the top bunk.

Parts/Pieces missing/not happy at all
The bed was missing pieces and wasnt able to be built. Im not happy at all.. make sure all the parts are there if you decide to buy..

Worth every penny
Got this for my 4 year old daughter and son that is transitioning from a crib and they love it. The bottom bunk is perfect for a toddler.
High quality for the price
This is really heavy, but worth it.
Good but could be better
