Easy to assemble but it isnt the most sturdy once on top and moving. Not worried about any issues and probably just because of how tall it is (my daughter has one by the same company just not as high up and it doesnt shake at all). My son likes it and was worth the value we got it at.
Not 5 stars because the item came with ripped packaging. It is a little shaky but understandable. Ladder is pretty skinny so it hurts when you climb up the bed, but overall its what we were expecting.
It took me about 3 hours to put together. My son and I LOVE this bed. It gave my baby the room needed to give his room more walking space. The ladder hurt his feet after a few days of going up and down, so I bought some baby proofing foam, for sharp corners, and put them on there (2nd pic), and it worked great. It was a great buy, for less than $300.00.
UPDATE: I still love the bed, but I need to re tighten the screws now. Not a deal breaker for me, because my son is heavy, and I expect things to get lose. It is wobbly, even with the screws tightened. I feel he is safe in it, and he loves it. The only con to this bed, is making it up daily. Geez.. I did not think about that at all.
You will need a wall to sturdy this bed up otherwise it will rock and wobble. My daughter wanted to put this in the middle of her room but that wasnt happening. She climbed up a couple of steps and it started to sway. The further she went the worse it got. She was terrified to get on top so I told her to put it against a wall. Since we put it next to one, shes been sleeping up there but is worried about the screws coming loose.
This product has saved me from moving out of my home due to lack of office space. The amount of space underneath the mattress is big enough for a large L shaped desk to go beside the existing desk, making for an amazing office space. Im 53 and I need to duck when underneath, but the height under the mattress more than allows for a taller gaming chair. The bed does shake when going up and down the ladders, but its completely stable. My cat adores having a higher, comfy, and secluded place to sleep- adding another benefit. Highly recommend this product to revamp and reinvent your space. I believe this is a great value for price, assembly, and quality.
