I found this stool after doing a Google search for most comfortable bar stools. I had high hopes for it and unfortunately I was very disappointed. While the seat is somewhat comfortable the footrest is way too high if you are anything over 5 ft 10 in tall. What is really troubling is that this bar stool is extremely unstable on a carpeted floor. I assembled the stool and installed it in my basement with a very low cut carpet over the concrete floor. Pain sitting on the chair I found it very wobbly because the base is not wide enough. I thought that maybe it would get settled into the carpet but at one point I actually almost fell to the floor when I got into the chair. Going to be sending it back for a full refund.
These bar stools have a very nice, clean and sleek look. They are smaller than our last stools but for better around our bar. They wipe off well after fingerprints. I like the silver trim around the chairs too. Very good buy for the price.
The chair instructions are not that get but I reread the instructions and when finished the lever to lower and raise don't work, it goes up and down, but the chair stays the same
Easy to assemble, looks good, feels good, does what I needed for my kitchen counter.
The base could be more stable where the shock is inserted. A bit more play than I'd like when sitting at max height. Luckily my kitchen counter is at the perfect height when the stools are fully lowered, so not an issue for me, but I can see it being one.
I've had this chair in my classroom for a couple years now. I use it for when I do read-alouds to my students, so sit in it daily. Students aren't allowed to sit on it, but occasionally, I do catch them messing with it, but it has held up over time. I haven't had anything go wrong with it. I get compliments on it all the time from other teachers also.

Scratches easily and does better on carpet versus tile floors.
Nicer than I expected
