Saw what was essentially this same product for $299 at a big box grocery store, so its absolutely a good value for the need. Comes assembled which is a big help.
This is exactly what I needed for the kids shoes. If you need it for adult shoes (sz 10) for example you might be able to fit 2 pairs only on one side. The shoes you see on the picture are size 4 big kids.
The instructions were easy to follow, though I wish that they would use WORDS and PICTURES instead of just DRAWINGS. The finished piece is attractive and the drawers work easily.
I wear a size 8? EE mens shoe, and I have trouble getting some of them into the cabinet. It seems to be made more for childrens and womens shoes, than mens.
So ignore the flooring, were replacing all of it so we didnt care that we got paint on it.
Anyway, the bench is beautiful. Its solid wood and the color is even better in person. The baskets are a good size. I wear size 8 womens shoes and can fit up to 3 pairs of tennis shoes in one basket. My 2 yr old son has his own basket that fits many of his shoes, including his rain boots. As for my boyfriend, he can only fit one pair of tennis shoes or dress shoes in one basket but hes a big guy (64 and wears a size 13 shoe). For a smaller guy, Id guess he could fit two pairs.
The drawers are also a good size, perfect for hats and gloves. I put a picture of a standard tissue box for size reference.
I did expect ( mentally ) a larger chest but this turned out to be PERFECT! The size is wonderful, not overwhelming for this smallish space and my Great Grandchildren each have a basket for their toys at Grandmas. The color is as promised. The packaging was huge so it threw me off a bit but it was loaded with protection for this chest. It really worked. Good Job! Id order again.

We received this product yesterday. While this product seems like its well made, so far, the manufacturer made the decision to ship this product whole and pre-assembled. A benefit for some consumers, but as a result, it arrived damaged. The horizontal beam on the front side of the bottom was broken off on one end, thus preventing the door from swinging and properly latching.
Im sure the cost of fixing this myself will be much less than the hassle it will take to ship back this entire product, as is.
Ill still give this a 4/5 star rating in the hopes that this is not the norm.
