it came early, package was in great pe, and everything i needed was in the box!
Just a few things i would like to make certain that are explained. first, please read the directions, the first thing when putting anything together is to NOT tighten the screws all the way, until its completed. If you do you might have trouble getting the center slat rails to fit into their slots. Second, all the parts labeled, and are supposed to go where the directions say they go. Before i made this purchase i found a 1 star review with pictures written by Marlissa Butler, i read the review and made the purchase, crossing my fingers that i didnt get a defect in MY order! After building the bed i went back to her review, looked at the photos and noticed immediately that she didnt put the feet from the headboard on the correct sides. the screws pictured on the outside are actually supposed to be on the inside, and having them in the incorrect position would make all the cross bars not fit on the frame correctly. (it also would make the bed more narrow on one end then the other) Just make sure you go slow and put things where they are supposed to go.
All of that being said, I love this bed. I personally havent slept on it as its for my 13 year old son and hes way over the age of sleeping with mom he is using his mattress from the old frame and he absolutely loves it. The colors in the woodgrain at the headboard and footboard they also have some texture n its really nice! The bed frame is supported by 9 feet (including the 4 you see on any normal bed frame). I really like this because im sure my son just throws himself on the bed like any other kid. There are like 2 inch rails on the sides that you screw in to make sure the mattress stays in place, i love that the company also gives you these lil rubber things that slide over the metal to keep your mattress (or you) from getting cut by them. We havent come into contact with them at all, but just incase, as a mom i appreciate the nice safety precaution!
The center slats that support the mattress can jiggle a little bit and they make noise, the company did put something on the center long bar to help keep them from making noise. I squeezed a lil hot glue under each one to just stop them from making the metal jingle sound. If you have double sided tape that will work too.
All in all i gave it 5 stars, i think its beautiful, only took me about 30 mins to build it alone, all of the parts are excellent quality, and the directions were really easy to understand.
ill write back in a few weeks to leave an update as we have only had the frame for a few days now!
I purchased this bed and it came in good time. I was excited to open the box and put it together, and I did it alone in about one and a half hours. Finally I got to the slats which were wrapped together in a plastic bag. When I took them out the bag, my first thought was No way will these slats be able to support my 325 pound frame! I put them on the bed anyway and leaned just a bit in each one. I only gave them a slight push but could hear each slat on the verge of cracking! Theres just no way these thin cheap slats could support an 800 pound person! When I wrote to the company mentioning the weak springs and very thin support beams on the exterior frame; they wrote back this:

Now I for one as well as anyone I know do NOT sleep on a single slat. I will never have a good nights sleep in a bed that I have to move cautiously on in fear of snapping the support system, never mind any fun bedroom activity. Well they did honor my return request, at MY Expense! Its just not worth giving back at least half the money for a shoddy made bed that I would not have purchased but for the false claim of an 800 pound weight capacity! Im gonna look into this situation a bit further, in the meantime, if youre over 175 pounds, Id stay away from this bed. Otherwise its not bad for a small person smaller couple.
My kid outgrew his bunk beds and this was the perfect inexpensive fix, looks great at a killer price point, does not squeak and hes a big tall kid, hes super happy with a bigger bed, he loves it and it looks great in person.
I am pretty disappointed in the quality. I read the reviews prior to purchase and maybe I just expected too much. It sits VERY low to the ground, the headboard is no where near as high/tall as the pictures made it appear and the support slats are cheap, thin boards. I am going to our local home supply store today to buy a sheet of ply wood to place under the mattress for support and to sturdy the frame. If you are buying this for a child or young teen of smaller body stature, you may like this frame pretty well. For an adult of standard height, you will be disappointed.

800 Pounds of Support Is A LIE!
