    New Kitchen Island

just moving into an 1938 house and needed additional counter and cabinet space in the kitchen. This island filled both needs, is very attractive and adds to the ambiance of the kitchen.

    Cute, and lots of storage!!!

Its cute just like picture lots of storage space. Smaller than anticipated. Sturdiness is not the best we added 2x4s on the corners of the table to help it from falling down for the kids safety and we didnt use the wheels we just put 2x6s on the four corners of the bottom. And we bought 24 stools. But looks great.

Great value for the money for added kitchen storage, prep space and dining space

I was skeptical at first because this was the least expensive kitchen cart/island fixture I was able to find that fits our needs for added dining space as well as storage in the kitchen. I'd say the item was reasonably well packaged from factory to protect from damage in transit, however the packaging is extremely messy. Styrofoam will fill your home, yard and surrounding area as it sheds excessively into tiny little clingy specs that are hard to clean. Once you get past that nuisance and headache, the unit is quite easy to put together based on the directions included. Just take your time and work on a soft surface to avoid damaging the finish of all panels. The doors have nice little magnet holders, shelves a sturdy and the drawers are pretty cavernous. One of our drawers came with a broken slider. The company sent me a replacement slider set, but it doesn't match any of the mounting holes on the unit and the outer wall is not thick enough in those areas for me to put new screws in, so I ended up gluing together the original drawer slider instead. Overall the cart is sturdy, a pleasure to use, pleasure to look at, and has added much needed counter space and storage space to our otherwise standard smallish L shaped kitchen. My only gripe is that the drawers have way too much play in them. If they felt tight the experience of using them would be top notch. All in all I think this cart is an excellent value and I would not hesitate to recommend it.

Great addition to an awkwardly shaped kitchen

We just moved in to a rental house and the kitchen is a giant U shape. We cook a lot and are always in the kitchen so this was not going to work for us. This cart was the perfect addition we needed to make our kitchen functional. It is very sturdy. I was concerned that the part that flips out wouldnt hold much but it does. We leave it open all the time and have our bar stools pushed up to it. If you are good at following directions it is not hard to put together. It is also really nice looking and I love the paper towel holder on the end. The drawers and cabinets are surprisingly good quality. I didnt expect so much from an inexpensive piece of furniture. If you are on the fence, get this one!

    Very sturdy and pretty

This cart certainly wasn't EASY to put together, but we didn't run into any major issues (took maybe 2 hours). There were a couple of screws missing, but we made do, and everything still held together well. For the price, can't complain. It looks very nice and much more expensive than it was! The fold-leaf part is invaluable, and the cabinet space is very roomy. Makes my kitchen much more functional and cute!

The best investment for giving much needed storage area.

I love my new cart. It has three large shelves for storing pots and pans, 3 drawers to use for Cooking utensils and other odds and ends. The fact that its on wheels and can be moved anywhere in the kitchen is also a great feature. Easy directions and solidly built! Worth the money!!!

Very sturdy, very nice, very nicely priced island

As with most furniture, once I have it delivered and unbox it, I immediately contemplate returning it rather than the nightmare of putting it together. This was no exception. It comes in a VERY heavy box and styrofoam does get a bit 'snowy' while getting everything out of it. Once everything was laid out, I followed the directions and got it assembled in a couple of hours. The instructions and labelled pieces really make this process move along. I was able to assemble it myself and with just a little bit of heavy lifting involved (looking at you countertop). Once assembled it looks as expected. Very sturdy and 'thick', looking like furniture much more expensive than it was. My only gripe is that the drawers are just a bit too shallow for a silverware plastic holder Other than that, perfection. Pro Tip: When assembling the drawers (the most time consuming part), be sure to line up your screws with the predrilled holes on the sides. If you don't, your drawers will be crooked. They should screw in easy if you are on the mark, otherwise, try again. Overall pretty straight forward and easy process.

    Surprisingly sturdy!

This is quite a time-consuming project to put together as everything is in parts and pieces, however no missing parts and very thorough instructions. Very impressed at how surprisingly sturdy this is and a great amount of storage. You get what you pay for- nice lasting quality if you're patient enough to build it right!

Not too bad! Needs rubber or urethane wheels though....

First, ours showed up with NO damage. Can you believe it? The box was a little beat up, but the fact that it weighs like 150lbs, what do you expect. We expected some damage, but there wasn't any at all... It goes together pretty easy. I have several small powered drills/drivers, the small, DYI type 6V drill with screw driver tips, we keep in the kitchen cabinet for small projects worked great, otherwise, you have to hand screw the screws in, which could make it longer to get together. But it really isn't hard. PAY ATTENTION to the drawer instructions, because its kind of easy to get the sides mixed up when assembling the drawer boxes. HINT: the roller wheels of the drawer runners, go to the back of the drawer box. It used FLIP locks, and they are hard to FLIP all the way when you are ready to LOCK the piece at that place, but I just used a small pair of pliers, that helped push the LOCK all the way closed. As a guy who has done quite a bit of cabinet work in the past, I was expecting the drawers, and doors to need to be adjusted and fiddled with to get them lined up. SURPRISINGLY, they didn't need ANY adjustment! That's a first! Now, this unit is what we call an open box type of cabinet, meaning, the front is mostly frame, the back and sides are solid when assembled, so, the cabinet can be racked ( meaning moved out of square) if you put pressure on the sides, which will make the doors and drawer fronts, go out of align UNTIL, you lock the thing totally, and solid with the FLIP LOCKS and screw the top to the frame. Then its a solid unit. It's not flimsy mind you, but until its all locked, and the top is screwed on, it can rack, making the doors and drawer fronts go out of alignment. What I did was, I held the cabinet, so the doors lined up at the top, ( It really was VERY little out of alignment, but I'm a bit OCD ) THEN screwed in the screws attaching the top to the frame of the unit. I suggest using a power drill with a screw bit for the top. Otherwise, you probably wont be able to hold it AND screw the screws in. ONE LAST THING, the wheels are hard plastic, with a rounded profile, so when we rolled it in our kitchen, on LAMINATE flooring, they can easily scratch your laminate if your not careful. Once the unit is filled with stuff, it gets pretty heavy, so we put cushions under each wheel, so the weight of the unit wont dent the laminate flooring when it sits for long periods of time in one place. Moving it fully loaded, on laminate is a bit scary, because we're worried that the rounded wheel faces could leave dent-tracks in the laminate flooring. LISTEN UP ....Source RUBBER or Urethane wheels!! Other then that, its a great cart, looks really nice, GREAT added space in the deep drawers, two shelves make the cabinet part REALLY nice, the Leaf is big, and works very well. Our top was NOT warped as others have stated. We did NOT use the towel holder, or the side rack. I plugged the holes and it looks fine. The leaf actually makes this a pretty nice sized table top when open. So far, we're very happy with it.
