Instructions were absolutely horrible were both carpenters! But they made no sense in several cases we had to undo an hours worth of work to correct their terrible instructions. It is sturdy holds a lot of legal size files, which I needed. But a total pain to assemble. Ugh!
What a buyer should expect from affordable furniture! Not the highest quality but a reasonable and usable item. Assembly went smoothly and I did it solo - a little over two hours. Adjusting the hinges was a bit tricky, but completed. I do not mind the money spent on the item, knowing at some point I plan on replacing with a higher quality item.
Took two of us 2 hrs to assemble. One of the drawers arrived with a chip but it isnt worth returning. Its a good quality pressboard. It has good weight to it. The instructions are not the best. The color is a few shades darker than what the pictures shows.
It is heavy. Out of box still not together after5 months! Only written directions in Chinese! Pictures are crazy ... and I am quite 3 dimensional, and enjoy 3d art and sculpture!. Expensive mess!

The drawers open and close smoothly and quietly, with a little click to let us know they are securely closed. Each drawer even offers flexibility by providing the ability to store files in one of two different orientations. Overall, I think this was an awesome purchase and would not hesitate in recommending it to others. In fact, I am even considering getting another one for my home office!

Tough assembly but worth it
It is a beautiful filing cabinet! BUT, It was EXTREMELY difficult to assemble.
