I love these so much I bought two. One for each dining room window. Both my cats love sitting on them
looking outside. Easy to assemble, took 5 or 10 minutes.
I just wanted something super simple, not too high, not too short, not too small, something just right. If it's not just right, it will be useless to the cat and shall only serve as a reminder of how much I have failed him. Since the cat cannot use human words to vocalize his demands, I must rely on his body language that indicates one of 3 cat attitudes: Indifference. Approval. Hatred. As I present gifts to him, I plead for his approval.
From the couch, he glared at me for the entire four minutes it took for me to assemble it. I felt very judged. As if he was telling me that he could do it in three minutes if he had hands. Upon completion, I nervously put it on the floor in front of the couch and I stepped back so he could feel its brand new, unsoiled energy. He yawned and laid his head down so he could nap.
This cat scratcher is totally adorable and my cat loves it! Perfect size, seen in the pictures with my average sized (maybe a little chonky) tabby cat. The fabric portion is soft like a stuffed animal and is the perfect texture to resemble a . The best part is that it totally goes with my home aesthetic
Instructions say, A competent adult must assemble this product. Not true. You can put this together half drunk in 30 minutes. My cat's about 12 pounds and fits comfortably on all platforms. It's a great mid-tier cat house that doesn't take up much room and is easy to move around.
I am loving this cat scratching post and my kittens that I get next Sunday have yet to enjoy it. Lol! Just the feel of the soft parts has a texture that makes me hands what to continue to pet at it. Reminds me of the same material used for washing the cars wheels and rims. Assembled was super easy, but in case one gets confused, they supply set up instructions with images of what goes where. I like the little nifty screw it tool I added to my toolbox. All pieces were there and no manufacturer oppsies were noted when assembling all parts together. My kittens are going to love their new scratching post setup. Part of my wonders if I should have gotten the large, but medium is a pretty good size.
Update: My kittens just love, love their cat scratcher. I am sure when they get bigger, they will have to play on it different (be too heavy for the arms), but it will still be their favorite cat toy. I have to take away the toy at times just to have them settle down because they go crazy when it is in their playpen. And no, it does not have catnip on it or in it. They are too young to respond to catnip anyways.
