Hi.We love this bed.It was very easy to assemble, assembly instructions were so clear to follow. For years we have been using mattress with spring box,and I cant even describe difference of not having it.It is just aming feeling, very peaceful sleeping, weaking up with no backpain. We highly recommend this bed,we love the extra storage drawers.
We paid a little extra for this bed vs lesser expensive particle board beds, thinking it was built better or had more solid wood parts. I think its about the same as others. This bed is OK but in hindsight I should have found the least expensive particle board bed and assume it would not last more than one child or a move.
I have been putting this type of furniture together for over 10 years and I have to say these instructions were by far one of the clearest Ive seen.
The bed arrives in three boxes and prior to starting I made sure all pieces were present. I also seperated the pieces into two piles; stuff for the frame and stuff for the drawers / believe me, this made it a lot easier as I was working.
It took a little under 2 hours to complete and I only ran into one minor problem. While putting together the drawers I had problems sliding the bottom pieces into the groove thats in the drawer / this was easily solved with a little tap from my hammer / but it was frustrating at first because the grooves appeared to not line up correctly. Also the directions give you a time estimate / 122 minutes, thats about how long it took me.
As far as quality goes / it is great. The finish looks good, the drawers slide easily in and out, the planks that act as support for the mattress are sturdy.
I slept on it last night / I have a Tempurpedic foam mattress and I didnt use a box spring / and it was great.Great supoort and it didnt squeak or move around or anything.
All in all, I think it is definitely worth it.
Update: Ive had this bed frame for almost 2 years now. Some of the planks for started to crank along the edges / I am hoping I can just replace them from the hardware store.
Parts are reasonable for the price. They could definitely be higher quality but they are fine especially considering the price. Fairly easy to assemble. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. Give your self plenty of time. While I had power tools I really did not find it necessary to use them. A good screwdriver and an decent hex key is all you need.
Pros:
Delivered to the house
Instructions are easy to follow
Not hard to assemble
Power tools optional
Cons:
Parts could be higher quality
Take a few hours to assemble
The bed need to be perfectly square for the drawers operate property
I would highly recommend this product. I needed a lower bed frame to fit in my (slanted ceiling) room. Its perfect. LOTS of storage underneath, big drawers that easily slide in and out. However, it took about 3 HOURS to set up and I am a small woman. Some parts were really heavy and no matter if you are male or female, you will DEFINITELY need some help setting it up. Use an power drill too, I dont have one and if I did it probably would have taken half the time.
I saw that this bed had quite a few negative reviews, but decided to try it any way because of the price. I am happy to say that the boxes the bed was shipped in were not falling apart, and the bed components were not scratched or broken. Though the bed is made of particle board, its a heavy particle board that seems decently durable. I was worried about scratching the vinyl finish while putting it together, but luckily I managed not to.
Once put together, the bed looks pretty nice overall. I will say that one of the biggest disappointments was the fact that one of the drawers is not usable because the holes where youre supposed to screw the rail in didnt line up with the rail itself. So, Ill have to find the proper sized bit and drill holes myself when I get around to it.
Also, one of the other drawers refuses to close all the way but its not that noticeable.
I was worried the bed would feel flimsy but it actually feels stable. Also, I read that some people fortified the inside of their drawers with plywood, but I didnt find this was necessary. The inside of the drawers are thin, but they work fine for storing clothing, which Im assuming is what most people would use them for.
I also read that some people found the wooden planks that support the mattress uncomfortable, I honestly dont notice them at all and it feels like Im laying on a solid surface.
In general, Im happy with my purchase. The frame feels stable enough, the drawers open and close fine and I like being able to store extra clothes in them to free up space in my dresser. Its obviously a cheap frame, but I think its good for the price (as long as whoever ships it to you takes care in delivering it.)
My 17 year old daughter loves this bed. It is easy to put together and very attractive, Have not had one problem with it and the drawers are pretty spacious.
It wasnt that hard to put together. Just follow the directions and its best if there are two people. We put it together in a couple hours.
Leave a lot of the parts loose so you can adjust and move things around at the end. If the bed isnt perfectly square the drawers can line up a little wonkey.
As soon as we got it all sorted out the drawers ran great and the bed looks aming. It is really heavy so once its together dont plan to move it too much. We tried to move it a couple inches and a bolt popped out of the particle board. Thats the quality issue, but we knew it was a particle board type of item so that isnt very surprising.
All that being said, we are really glad we got the bed. It gives us so much more storage room in out relatively small condo. The wood color looks expensive as well.
LOTS of parts! This bed isnt too difficult to build, but the drawers are horrible. The bottoms of the drawers are not locked in place by anything, so the bottom slides out and bends. I actually went to Home Depot and bought some angle brackets, small L shaped 2 screw types, and installed 3 on the back of each drawer which hold the bottom panel in place and that solved the problem. Its also a static dust magnet, so be prepared to wipe it down a lot. I wouldnt buy it again because of all the hard work to get in in useable shape.

Much better quality than expected

SLEEPING DO NOT DISTURB

Lots of storage, but the quality is just so so.

Not the greatest quality
LOTS of parts! This bed isnt too difficult to build, but the drawers are horrible. The bottoms of the drawers are not locked in place by anything, so the bottom slides out and bends. Aming, a steal for the price
This is an absolute steal. It is a fantastic looking frame, good quality, and very easy to assemble. BUY BUY BUY
