The bed is cute, but it is definitely not intended to last for a child. Had the bed since September, and it’s now March - before the monthly payments were even up the kids have managed to cause serious damage to the flimsy ladder connection. Contacted the company over a month ago to try and source some replacement parts for a support beam and ladder connectors - no responses at all. Now the slide connection with the same flimsy setup is damaged. Less than a year, I expect more from $500.
If you have a small space these beds are perfect and they are made in vietnam with solid wood from new zealand. A helper is needed in some of the assembly but its not difficult.
Its a great bed, my son is happy with it. I tried to put a lot of research into picking the right loft bunk bed. My husband and father built this together. It took a couple hours, but they said it was easier than they thought it was going to be. At first when they saw the packet of instructions and they laughed and thought they were gonna go through hell building this, but the instructions were clear and easy. They both have decent experience with this sort of things I should add.. it is definitely a 2 person job. I got this while it was at a great price.. at just under $400. The prices on these things fluctuate greatly.
We love it! It’s just the right size for young kids. You don’t have to worry about them on the bottom bunk. They would roll to the floor. The girls love it too!!
My 5 year old and 1 year old love the slide and it’s pretty sturdy. However, the ladder was chipped in the back end. It doesn’t fit a regular twin mattress. It will be too high and kid might hit her head if placed on the bottom bunk. You’ll have to use a memory foam or thin mattress. Overall, it’s good for the price.
We love the look and overall functionality of this product. I feel like it’s needs more slats for mattress support. The gaurdrail on the top bunk is already loose which I anticipated immediately after I felt the quality of the bed once assembled. My daughter is only 3 and her leaning on the guardrail for story time will be problematic...I foresee having to brace it somehow with some extra stabilizing pieces of wood.
This is a great concept. My 6 y/o and 2 y/o love it. You can’t beat the price for what you get. It took my husband two days (about 24) hours in total to put this together by himself. The parts came in three HEAVY Boxes with nice padding. However the instructions are vague with no words just pictures. Several times my husband put parts together but had to take them apart because they were out of order and note specified in the directions. We were also missing several screws. I emailed and called for replacements to no avail. We would up purchasing the missing screws from the local hardware. I wish the customer service was better considering this wasn’t a cheap or inconsequential purchase. The wood scraps easily and we were the victims of this too. We’ll touch up with gray paint in time. The slide is steep. I showed my boys how to go down safely and haven’t had any issues. My 2 y/o is still afraid to go down on his own, but I’m okay with it until he’s comfortable. I don’t think this is a long term furniture piece. We’ll replace in a 3-5 years.
This bed is amazing, the first attempt we purchased a name brand off of , Max and Lily, I believe. It was trash compared to this sturdy, hard wood bed. It is perfect for your kids, much more comfortable and spacious than predicted. The bed is also low to the ground, takes up less space.

The slide is steep and kids come down fast and hard.
